I have that cd (well 2 cds I guess) too and love it.. Who Are You is such a great song... and Keith Moon fucking rocks...
But Tommy was such a weird movie too. The Tina Turner part was just weird. But I do love how the ENTIRE movie is sung.
Never took The Who seriously, until a few nights ago, I got the highest I've ever been and I was listening to tunes to calm down. I listened to "Won't Get Fooled Again" and "Who are You" on full blast, and it was a rush! Good band!
Ok, here is my update on The Who... THEY ARE GREAT! Its cool to listen to my dad's stories of seeing them live.. he is a lucky bastard.
I've been a massive fan for a while now... I got into them through their more classic rock edged material like Who's Next... These days I gravitate a lot towards their earlier, more British sounding stuff like The Who Sings My Generation and The Who Sell Out. I have a slight connection too, as Keith used to live for a while in the town that I grew up in, so my parents remember him being a typical 'loon' around the place...
If anyone wants to see what the who was like live check out woodstock 3 days of peace and music. They have a video of them live on there. Really awesome! Gotta love the who
