Seeing as how most Canadians on this forum are Ontarians. There's recently been a stronger move to hike the drinking age from 19 to 21 and Dalton our neo-liberal bitch of a Premier has voiced his support for such a change. Now luckily I'll be 21 in a little over a month but one of the things that makes Canada so much better than the STates is the reasonable drinking age of 18-19. If Canada takes the 21 drinking age approach will be joining the U.S. as the 1st world nations with the highest drinking age, and only Yemen with 22 has a higher drinking age in the world! I myself entering politics might benefit from the age going to 21 because I could get votes by promising to drop it to 18 but I just don't want 18-21 year olds to suffer for God knows how many years if the change is made.

Thats a pain in the ass because I turn 19 next month and I'm looking forward to hitting up bars and clubs. No where to meet girls around here (other than house parties) unless you are legal.
Man the trek to Quebec is such a hassle... Like I live on campus at uottawa, and it still was a bitch... I could just imagin how shitty of a walk back is while drunk (i dont really trust taxis and buses when im drunk)... Shit I only went there like 5 times when i was 18 and that was just annoying just to buy like 3 bottles of booze and two packs of smokes (which then someone stole my second pack, NOT EVEN OPENED YET)

LOL, I live near the U.S. border but I go to University at Carleton, luckily I started when I was already 19, but yeah some of my 18 year old friends needed me to drive em to Hull area to hit the strip clubs, fun times.
never going to happen. LCBO is a cash cow. They'll milk it for every penny. The only way they'd actually consider raising the legal drinking age is to decentralize liquor sales and that sure as shit ain't happening. Drink safe you 19 year olds ... they'll lower it before they raise it.
