I often stay because people are like a herd of cows when leaving a movie so I wait till they all leave... though haven't went and seen a movie in a long, long time.. how was the movie..?
there wasnt one part of the movie that i didnt like kayla...i feel the same way about this film as i do with batman begins...
I usually wait to avoid the crowds and cos the soundtrack credits are usually near the end and I often want to see the titles of certain songs/pieces of music. I too, have not been to the movies much over the last few years.
im trying to think of the movies ive gone to see in the last few years... episode III underworld evolution iron man... i think im missing something...im not sure what though...
I've been to see only two movies in the last two years as the cinema here doen't cater for Non-Thai speakers. At least not in Ubon anyway. So when I visited Bangkok, I caught a couple of movies. One was 'Pan's Labyrinth', which I thoroughly enjoyed.
I only stay to watch the credits roll If I'm curious as to the films location. Unfortunately the film locations are not revealed until the last frame making for a long wait Hotwater
I haven't been to the movie theater for about six years.... I don't know if I'll ever go again really...
The movie theatre can be a wonderful experience. I miss it. I remember in Marocco, I went to a small thetre in a town called Essaouira with a couple of locals for the Friday night double bill. What a strange an amazing night it was. There were about 400 men and young boys packed like sardines on wooden banches, crammed into a smoke filled theatre. The first movie was a Jackie Chan flick and the audience cheered and shouted during the fight scenes, throwing air-punches and getting really lost in the adrenaline-filled action. The second was some Bollywood movie with araic subtitles. Everytime the bad guy came on-screen, the crowd booed and jeered him throwing screwed up balls of paper at him. Cheers erupted when the hero appeared, but the absolute pinacle of the night was when the beautiful female actress appeared for a dance scene, relatively scantily clad. The hush of anticipation and sexual tension that permeated through the room was magical. When she started to sing and dance, deep sighs of dream-filled delight filled the air, rising to a crescendo of wolf whistles as she swayed across the screen. It was truly an eye-opening night and an unforgettable experience. Movie theatres can be awesome places.
I go about once a week. I fucking love movies. Movies that have shit after the credits: All Pirates movies All Shrek movies Crank Aeon Flux X-Men: The Last Stand There's plenty more, those are all I can remember right now..
Haha I worked at a movie theatre for a little over a year. The ushers HATED people who waited until the credits were done because they couldn't clean the theatre until it was emptied. So, if you're in the mood to piss someone off... haha ;D
I've always wondered why people do that. I always though it was because they needed a moments reflection to ponder the meaning behind the film or some time to recalibrate their perceptal lobes to contain their emotional state before hence entering the real world and it's omniensce.
Oh, I know. I do it too sometimes. ... especially if I recognize and dislike the usher... ;D Plus, movie tickets are beginning to cost the earth.
couldn't they clean the part where the people aren't sitting? i've never seen more than a couple small groups waiting out the credits at any one movie, so there's still plenty of theater to clean... i never go to the movies anymore, and when i did go i rarely sat through the credits there... but when watching videos or on tv if they show the credits, i'll sit through it for the extra scene...
