Hi there, We are beginners and would like to know how to differentiate between the male and female plants? Also, what do we do with the males (grow & smoke them, use for seeds...or destroy)? The guys at the store sold us 2-40 watt flourescent indoor plant growing lights with an ouput of 1600. (It sounds like this isn't enough) Lights are on 18 hours per day. We are using organic potting mix containing sphagnum peat moss, composted bark finds and vermiculite. Our fertilizer is 20-20-20 which we have not used as of yet, not sure if this ok. We have 3" baby plants and we are extremely excited. If anyone with experience growing primo bud has any advice, please feel free to advise us we would appeciate it!
Males will have flowers that resemble little banana clusters, whilst the girls will have the twin white hairs coming from the calyx. A decent grow book will have pictures of them.
O I agree with the book recommendation for new growers - in fact I wrote a review on it in the MJGuide! Nice to hear someone else checked it out!
