Can't tell the page is not complete. However based on what I have read he does not have the concept down. I doubt he knows what he is talking about,

But the idea of invisibility as far as a metaphysical exercise is not new.

The subject and exercises are in a select few Metaphysical books.

Is it possible to walk through somewhere where there are people who know you, without being noticed?

You are there but people are not aware that you are there.

My answer is yes. But you need to come to your own conclusions.

Sounds interesting. Either they are serious, or are seriously bored!!
    Have you tried the technique?

Stage 4: strip naked and run around neighborhood in broad daylight (with your dick swinging in the breeze) with the absolute assurance that the police swarming around the area can't see you, but in fact are looking for some other guy who recently escaped from an area pshchiatric hospital [IMG]

well, for instance, some people will blatently ignore things or even look away when they come into view. its kinda like reading a bird in the the bush. your mind cuts out the second the as your tought that it is a bird in the bush.

im not sayin u can b invisible infront of someone, but in the right mindset you can walk right past someone without them seeing you. or in the right mindset you can be spotted in a croud or just by looking at someone they will look at you. sounds more like telepathy but in a slight way its kinda possible.

its fake.. sure, you can be less conspicuous, but you can't, as he claims, make objects apear to float. At least it hasn't been discovered yet.

lots of things are invisible, owing to their lack of physical form, or at least lack of being perminently tied to one or more of them. making something that HAS physical form appear to dissappear, that's called illusion. which doesn't neccessarily mean not real.

but yes, illusions are genearlly created by manipulating attention.

there are some things, a bit out of the ordinary i wouldn't make too many absolute bets on though. there IS a BIG universe out there, and we DON'T "know the half of it". (more like one tiney speck of sand of it.)

generally though, tangable material substances tend to perform in fairly predictable ways. litteral becoming physically invisable is not generally one of them.

several 'cloaking device' tecnologies are not inconceivable however. even the infamous "elvish cloak" is doable with a lot of fiber optics among other things. as long as you stand very very still while wearing it. or any other good camo for that matter.

    invisibility..theoretically possible, but very difficult.

Being unnoticed, however, can be piss easy (some of us have the opposite problem of having to work to be noticed) My friends used to refer to it as being 'dim' (someone said the term came from a stephen king book)

basically the theory is, if your'e so comfortable in the environment, you're unconciously assumed to be a piece of furniture, and unless someone's conciously looking for you, they'll just 'glaze over' your existance...and sometimes, if they are looking for you, they'll still miss you.

    frustrating sometimes, but useful others.

to make an object appear to float all you need is either a way of suspending it, or something to set it on, that is really well camoflaged. magnetic repulsion also works for things that can be magnatized or set on a cameod magnetic platform, maybe small enough to be concealed by the nonmagnetic object sitting on it. this hovers above an oppositely manetically charged plate, depending on the strength of the field.

the problem with mag-lev is the tendency to sip off the edge of their repulsion field and drop. but with the field big enough or the levitated object sufficiently constrained by other forces or objects, it certainly can be done. ever hear of the transrapid maglev train? it only hover's a very tiney distance above its rail, but like an air hockey puck, that is sufficient to remove friction, which in that example is the purpose of the exercise, rather then create an illusion of free floating.

illusions with tecnology are of course even easier. just photoshop out what you don't want visible from every fraime and animate. presto, magic levitation.

maglev relies on similarly charged electromagnetic pulses to lift and propel the item in question. I'm familiar with it, and think it'd be a good idea to have a maglev commuter service between cities to cut down on vehicle traffic.

I wasn't overly impressed with the article itself. The basic theory itself is 'mindset'. And while possible, it's more likely that people will avoid you for being wierd than perceive you as invisible.

Didn't they already try invisibility with horrible consequences??

I believe that was called The Philadelphia Experiment...

that whole sit from what i read and looked at looks like bs.

i believe japan or china a few years ago developed a cloak that you wear around your body. sort of like the description of the harry potter cloak. well anyways it has lots of micro camras on it that capture images front and back. the front image is then shown on his back. the image from his back is then shown on his front. making it able to see thrugh regardless of where you are, when facing the person wearing it. i saw the article in a popular magazine that i forgot. but the asian guy was standing in public and it looked blurry but except his head was mostly cloacked. very cool.

somehow i think invisibility is already hear, to the army and such forces. scary

I've had an experience with invisibility. Though, it was more of a druidic chant than anything else. What I did was stand next to a tree and chanted silently to myself, "I am the tree. The tree is me" After a few moment of this my friend, who was supposed to met me in the area, arrived and walked right past me. He looked around for a moment, then started calling for me. Once his back was turned I called out his name. He turned, looked straight at me, blinked and the walked away calling for me. Knowing that it had worked I stepped away from the tree, breaking the spell and said his name again. This time he could see me.

    To clarify a bit;
I was not hiding in the tree for it was barely taller than myself.
I had never heard of doing such a thing before trying it.
I was not wearing camo, green, black or brown.
    My friend had 20/20 vision.
Neither of us were on drugs.

To sum up, it is entirely possible to become invisible. However, I doubt that one could move much nor do I agree with the web link posted.

In advanced yoga, invisibility occurs by increasing one's personal resonance frequency above that of the surroundings.

They "tune" up, just like when a high pitched sound goes beyond your ability to hear it.

It really is physics. Metaphysics deals with these higher frequencies.

I just get people to ignore me. They assume I'm background 'clutter' and just don't give me a second thought.

I scare people daily by "sneaking" up on them. I really don't try. =/ Maybe it's my Native American blood haha.
