can anyone tell me how to keep my new dreadies from coming out when i wash them i have only had them for 2 weeks and i wont wash them for another month but when i did tonight i had one that came out and i had to split it just to put it back in how can i prevent this from happinin again? pls HELP!!!!
usually they will come out at the beginning when you wash them. i worried about it also but if you wash like twice a week with a shampoo/soap that leaves no residue (such as dr. bronners) they'll either stay how they are and lock up tighter, or fall out and reform again in their own time. patience!
depends on the way you making your dreads, if you do natrual, you should just wait i guess. if you did the backcombing thingy, just backcomb them again. palm rolling mostly helps preventing your dreads from splitting. As for myself i like to use babyshampoo, cuz it doesn't gots all the extra chemicals in it and still cleans your hear. (and my hair becomes everything but soft from it wich helps the locking proces)
re-backcombing is not recomended your dreads arenyt dreads in a week onluy backcombed hair washing helps dreads dread so dont waiyt a month wash weekly or so be gentle and concentrate on the scalp rince it thru the dreads seperate dreads after wait water + backcombed hair + fallin apart + time = dreads falloin aparts part of the commin together process
I have a problem...well its not a problem, its just that i have been asking about the best way to grow and maintain dreads from....whites. Our hair texture is different and i must use different methods to achieve my goal... if there is a african american who has info regarding begining dreads, please help.
wearing a stalking on ur head and massaging the shampoo in could help. also wrap them in a towel for a few minutes when their wet to dry them also helps. dont head-bang the water out.
It really doesnt make much difference. Just go natural, or twist them up, and wait. Try knottylocks.tk, there seem to be more active black guys over there that you could get advice from.
