Well no, that's the thing: we think about them because we're gay. And we think about other minority issues because we're minorities. The straight white male majority barely thinks about this stuff. Doesn't mean they hate us, just that they have other stuff (i.e. tits, beer or football) on their mind. Honestly, I'd hope you'll cut them some slack, as people are less likely to become more actively sympathetic to our cause if we treat them like cunts in the meantime.

If heteros barely think about homos then why does England provide legal consequences of marriage to gay couples? You could still think they're a bunch of cunts, stick a fork on the back of their hands and get away with it and get what you want to top it off. Like politics. Gays have bargaining advantage because there are smart gays who care deeply about the gay community. The gay agenda. You don't have to kowtow to anyone to get what you, as an individual, want. I don't really know what else to tell you. I think you're wrong when you say that homos are widely hated, and you're not offering any compelling evidence to the contrary, just restating the same thing over and over. I believe in activism, I just think that if you don't take people with you then it's all for naught.

 

If you live in America you'll know what I'm talking about. In England you have some gay compensations. Here, we know the inequality vodka clear. Inequality to me = hate.

 

Like I said, I think you give way more of a shit about your sexuality than they do. But hey, if you want to believe it, I guess that's cool. I'd just prefer it if you didn't tell people who would be totally on our side that they hate gays, because they'll just think you're a dick. Whether you're butthurt about it or not, these people are the ones we have to win over. You say we can be clever about it, but that's only the legal aspect. Hearts and minds won't come so easily. Quit repeating yourself. It's boring to read and you're not making any new points. You're going to have to live with these people whether you get your equality or not, whether they hate you and everything you stand for or not. You seem to think you could win without popular support, and that's a bunch of crap, quite frankly. You can piss and holler about how you don't give a fuck what they think (and all this weird stuff about forks that doesn't make any sense no matter how many times I read it), and that's semi-admirable, but when you've outlined your reasons for this as "they all hate gays, even if they think they don't", I'm kinda not surprised that you've ended up in that position.

Regardless, I do care what they think, and not because I'm some gay Uncle Tom, but because I know there aren't enough of us to make a difference on our own. So do you, but you seem more inclined to take shortcuts, which I believe would do more damage in the long run. I don't mean to be harsh, but I would not want you representing my interests if these are the views you hold. You actually sound a bit nuts.

Whatever. You don't know me at all, despite what you think you can deduce from my posts here. You act like I'm a sell-out just because I don't want to be a dick to anyone who doesn't fervently agree with me. You act like you think I'm stupid just because I'm not as paranoid as you think I should be. Is that a fair assessment?

You can call me what you like, but at the end of the day, I'm the guy whose equality you're actually fighting for. Not the hardline activists, not the victims of homophobic attacks. The dumb old ignorant ungrateful uncle tom. The stupid naïve guy who wants to live with your enemy rather than against them.

If you're not fighting for my right to be whatever I want, if you're just fighting for your idea of how gays should be, then I'd rather you just gave up, to be honest.
