Hi, Im just wondering does any one know of any canal tours that allows smoking on board? Or even one designed with smokers in mind? Any other ideas for smokers apart from coffee shops? Thanks
Smoker friendly canal tours are available from: http://www.amsterdamboatclub.com/index.html Other places I enjoy smoking cannabis in Amsterdam: while seeing a concert at the Melkweg or Paradiso the parks most late night clubs beaches smoker friendly bars like the Nes or Soundgarden
IF YOU CONTACT HIM TELL HIM KOOPA SENT YA! First off I'd like to thank Skip for allowing me to post this information. Secondly, allow me to point out that I make no money off of this. I became acquainted with this service by using it. I spread the word about it because I found the service to be an incredible experience offered at an incredible value. Lctricity had the pleasure of coming on this excursion with me last year so I hope he posts his honest feelings about the service below in this thread! We took a daytrip with Max to Prinsen Island and docked the boat for a summer BBQ cookout on the sea! TOUR DESCRIPTION: My friend Max has a small canal boat that he uses to offer private canal tours. The boat comfortably seats up to 4 people plus the driver but 6 or 7 can be "squeezed in" if needed. Max is about the nicest person you will meet in amsterdam. He is always smiling and full of positive energy. His day job is working a wonderful childrens education program that he helped put together. As a side project he offers these tours and his fantastic cooking skills at a reasonable rate! Max is 100% smoker friendly, as he wants all of his guests to be at ease while touring the city from the best vantage point! TRIPS INCLUDE: - 2.5 hours MINIMUM canal tour with the friendliest skipper in Amsterdam - trips can be booked with or without a home made organic meal (made to your specifications if you'd like) - trips with the meal also include a generous drink menu that you can select from (pick your own favorite beer, type of wine, and / or non-alchoholic beverages in advance and Max will make sure they are stocked) - The boat does have a stereo that Max will let you use! Typically, I will speak to Max by email before coming to Amsterdam and reserve my tour date with him. He is always flexible and is willing to reschedule when the rains spoil plans. After scheduling my date in advance, I discuss the menu with him. Typically I will let him know what foods are on the groups "no list" and we work from their to create the perfect menu! In past years, I have selected some of my favorite dishes for Max to whip up. The meals are always fully fresh with all organic ingredients. Highlights include a delicious salad, some of the best pumpkin soup I ever had, pasta salad, some delicious sausage (i believe he called it veal sausage or lamb sausage...it was great) the best hand packed ice cream in amsterdam (i'm not telling you where he gets it.....you will have to book a tour to find out!) and a generous amount of wine, beer, soda, water, etc. You can reach the canal tour operator himself at: maxman@tiscali.nl
