Floyd Virginia Intentional Communities

Hey,
Anyone know of intentional communities starting up in Floyd Virginia??? Some land, maybe put up some small cabins or yurts on site, need some help with gardening, goats, cattle, life etc???...great yurt manufacturer right in Floyd?? I love the scene there...music, artists, freethinkers, homesteading, coffee, books, nice folks...would love to connect up with some back-to-the-landers or community minded people already there. mike

 

Hey, I'd like to talk to you sometime. I'm thinking about moving to Floyd. I've heard of some communes out that way, but not for a few years. So I'm not sure if they took off or not. Either way, I live about 1.5 hours from Floyd and also love it there. Are you in Virginia now?

I'm matapeake from the hipforums you said you'd like to talk to about Floyd...I've made some contacts there and visited communities...write me at matapeake@msn.com...I'm about 2 1/2 hours away and am trying to hook up there to weather out Peak Oil...Peak Food...Peak Population...hell, Peak Everything...with real serious problems coming our way in about 2-3 years tops, I'd like to be in community.
