    Hi all,

I've done a few searches to try and find this out, but none of the threads really went into enough depth.

What does it mean when compounds are produced as a "fumarate"? Can fumarates be ingested orally in their pure form, or do they need to be converted? What would they be converted to?

What is the most common chemical state of compounds? I presume most of the are HCL salts? And what is a freebase? (From what I've read, compounds need to be converted into a freebase only if they are to be smoked, is that right?)

Sorry for all the questions, but I'm quite confused regarding this issue.

    Cheers

ok so answer to your long series of ?'s fumurate is a salt form it is usually heavier making it slightly less potent. The trade off is that it is exponetially more stable than a hcl. and yes freebase is usually whats needed to eficiently smoke somthn but hey u can smoke bout nethin just wastes some.

    Hope I answered somethin

Most compounds (MDMA, Methamphetamine, 2c-x, DOx, etc.) come as the HCl salt. Many tryptamines are common in the fumarate state, LSD is most commonly a tartrate salt.
