Look at it like this: it's two years till the next general election, two years of Boris making a shambles of one of the highest-profile jobs in the country, two years for the public at large to contemplate whether they really want more of the same in national government ... Too bad that Londoners are the ones who will suffer in the meantime.
You must have a crystal ball. The 25 pound congestion charge idea will now be scrapped. Those kids who previously got away with everything under Ken, causing chaos on our buses. Will now have their passes revoked. BUT! They will have a chance to earn back their passes with Payback London. I think this plan is very good. It is a way that kids will understand and will set them on the right path for the future.
Fuck! And I'm going to be living there in September. What will actually be likely to change in London, do you think?
Don't worry Luke, New Cross couldn't possibly get any worse that it is now ... ;-) I do agree with J0hn though that it was a big mistake to designate the upper decks of London buses as permanent free playgrounds for infants. They should at least have restricted free travel to times when kids could reasonably claim to be travelling to or from school.
