Coulda been a lot worse.

So last night me, my bf, and 2 friends were in my room smoking a couple bowls. I opened up my window in my room because it was getting real smoky in my room. Well my 2 friends leave and it's just me and my bf.
We hear somebody yelling into my window, so my boyfriend goes to see who it is and its the cops yelling for us to open my front door. I tried to hurry and hide the weed and went and opened the door.
The cops were yelling at first, and saying they couldn't even stand to be in my room because of how bad it smelled like weed :tongue:
They said that I could either confess and give them all my weed shit, or they could seal the house up and bring in the dogs. It's obvious that I was smoking weed, so I just said I'll give it to ya.

The cop took my bowl, my dime bag, some papers, a zippo, and my little grateful dead bag i keep it all in. After that, 2 cops just kept asking why we do drugs, and we are addicts, and blah blah and drugs are bad.
All the cops left, except for one.. and he explained to me that I could get 1 1/2 years of probation and yadda yadda, but he let me off with a disorderly conduct since I cooperated. The cop said if he doesn't see me anymore this school year, that at my court date he'll let me off and give me nothing.

I'm so happy about that.. but god damnit, my bowl and weed is gone

 

i would of just gave him the weed and papers and kept the bowl

 

yeah, i thought the same thing afterwards, but all my shit was hidden together, so when i got the weed to give to the cop, the bowl was sitting right there too..
and plus if i didn't give them all my shit, they were willing to search my room, so i figured just be safe and give it all up, ya know?

 

the cops are aloud to just walk in like that, in canada the cops have to ask you if they can come in you dont have to let them. But that really sucks that had happend all smoke a bowl for ya lol

 

we had to let the cop in.. he was at my window yelling in for us to open up the door. luckily that gave us time to attempt to hide the weed and dump out our beers and shit. but no i don't think they can come in without you letting them in.

yeah smoke a bowl for me i don't know how long it's gonna be until i can safely smoke here again!

 

you really didnt even have to open the door for them. How could they smell the weed from outside?

 

You shoulda just never went to the window and acted like you werent there.

 

I had my window open cause it was getting really smoky in my room, and cops were patrolling up and down the streets and they said they could smell it real strong.

 

should of made them get a warrent first that gives you a few hours.

i've been hearing so many cop stories lately. now i'm worried. :S *knock on wood*
atleast you'll be able to get off w/o any major legal setbacks. sucks about the smoking safely though. oh well. atleast you can live to tell about it.

yeah the cops here have been pretty shitty too. the other night they were busting people that were drinking, and arrested my friend. they told me last night that this was their night to bust people doing drugs. that's why they came here.. fuck!

but yeah, i'm glad i won't be charged for marijuana posession and all the other stuff he told me. but it's a story to tell i guess!

 

dude, that sucks!! you must live in a small town. We have cops driving down my street windows down while my friends and I toke, Ive never had any probs, Hell, I took a hit in front of a cop. I didnt see him till after, and he just rolled on. I know he saw me coz he slowed where I was, but didnt stop. smart thing you did.

I would understand it if you were out driving around or smoking openly in public but come on cant we feel safe in our own homes anymore?

we weren't hurting anybody, we were fuckin watching JURASSIC PARK hahaha just chillen in my room. We weren't out driving, or causing a scene or anything.

but at least they let me off with a disorderly.
they could have went without being dickheads for the first 10 minutes,
but after that they weren't so bad, and they were even petting and playing with my cat haha.

but still.. fuck cops.

 

What bugs me also is how they called you drug addicts.

 

When I heard them say that I just wanted to be like wow are you kidding me??
They gave us this big lecture on marijuana. Saying, that it's bad and we're not marijuana "users" we're marijuana "addicts" or something like that. And kept going on about dealers and stupid shit that I wasn't really listening to.
