Bikes are great, though sometimes when bicyclists pretend they are cars it can be annoying, and dangerous. It's no big deal in the 20-30 mph areas but when you get into the 45-50 (a lot around here) it's trouble! I always try to give them a wide berth but a lot of other folk do not.

Also it's a shame that china is switching from bikes to cars.

look at cycling in a way where it benefits you. once you learn bicycle editcate you and cars become one, like chinas rivers of bikes. I once weighed 350lbs and droped down to 190 due to cycling.. I'm heavier now but use cycling for conditioning. however here in Philly people use the car to go get smokes and soda one block away. how bout single drivers during rush hour. craigeslist.org is the best place to start on getting a decent or good priced bike.. mhp

Absolutly, I bicycle everywhere and have done all my life, I only drive when I need to go very long distance, or have to be somewhere very fast, it keeps you fit and healthy costs nothing and is polution free apart from the manufacture of the bike.

Every bike I have owned has been freecycled, same with bike parts, the only thing I have paid for are new tyres, brake cables and brake pads. And I have had some very nice bikes over the years, some that would have cost the original owner up to 4 weeks wages in an average 9-5 job.

i love bicycling... actually i not fully bicycling...
i use my motorbike to go to, everyday... some times i use bicycle, if the distance is worth to reach by bicycle...

atleast, it's li'l bit efforts to keep fit, reduce pollutions, reduce gas usage...

Bikes rock I ride about 10 miles a day, I am happy to have a life right now where I don’t need a car.

I spend about $50 -$100 dollars a year on my bike, so much cheaper then a car. It is so nice getting fresh air and sunshine instead of being in a cramped little bubble stuck at a stop light or worrying if some fat ass cop is going to pull you over and give you a $800. no insurance ticket.

I recently got a free bike!!! oh yeah... and i rode it to my part-time job for 3 days!!!! I saved 1/2 tank of gas and I felt exuberant!! I was actually happy when I got to work ( now that's rare!)

So jump on a bike folks... it's good for you, others, and the environment!!!

I don't have a bike right now, but I've been thinking of getting one and go to work by bike. Traffic is awful these days in the area where I live in Bucharest, Romania. But what's stopping me is that it's uite dangerous on the streets, there are many car drivers who are not careful enough...
