When will ecstasy be legal?

the studies were pretty recent, they were based on scans of the brain
extasy deplets your serotonin receptors, destrouy olls dendrides and causes new connections to grow in the brain
I'm not sure if I believe it myself tho, I use extasy quite regularly

Ecstacy is hard to say. Im not sure if i want it legal even though its a fun high. They should start selling test kits to see what chemicals are in it at stores like CVS. The last thing i want to see is a bunch of "Candi Ravers" everywere. On the other hand it could be decriminalized for psyhotherapy and testing like it was before it was abused.

Um, first of all, if MDMA were LEGAL it wouldn't have a mixture of a "million" other drugs, because it would be LEGAL- therefore it would be pure and regulated, such as pharmaceuticals. I don't know where you get your info when you say that it's "detrimental" to one's health either. There is NO evidence that pure MDMA is bad for you. It's the very fact that it's illegal that makes pills unpure and THAT is what is detrimental. If you're referring to the "holes in your brain" myth, well that is a proven myth. The study that claimed that was proven to be inaccurate, in fact they used METH on the test animals instead of MDMA, and yes meth WILL put "holes" in your brain.

 

I'm sorry but Bl4ck3n3D is one of the only people in this thread that knows what they are talking about... God I can't stand it when people spout myths and gossip as fact. PURE MDMA DOES NOT PUT HOLES IN YOUR BRAIN- it's no more dangerous than TYLENOL for crying out loud!!! It was made illegal because it promotes changes in consciousness that are not compatible with the American economy or workforce, just like LSD, shrooms or anything else they've demonized. It breaks people out of their normal programmed states of being, and that is well, DANGEROUS to those in power.

 

no offense or anyfing ectasy is a drug and drugs are for losers that have sad miserable lifes like who wants to be paranoid or suffer the effects drugs have on people well I dont. Drugs ruins lifes look at thew celebs who went on drugs for eg Whitney Hoston the drugs didnt do her any favours it ruined her looks and destroyed her career. I think people only take drugs to be cool or if they are presurred or just for the buzz.

first off i'd like to say i cannot believe how incredibly ignorant and for the lack of better words, stupid, people are. if you do not know anything about ecstasy (MDMA!) do not write anything about it, especially BS claims.

with that said, people need to start fckin realizing ecstasy, X, XTC, EX, E, thizzles, any other fckin slang name you can think of, IS NOT ECSTASY (MDMA). Ecstasy is one of the first, if not the first slang name used for MDMA (methylenedioxymethamphetamine). now that we have that cleared up, people fckin die from so-called ecstasy because it is cut and laced with anything from tylenol to heroin, OK? so as years passed by and MDMA was harder to get a hold of, dealers started to find alternate, cheaper ways to manufacture the drug and then MARKET it as ecstasy, when in actuality most pills contain hardly any MDMA.

this is the reason why people might get depressed, or might have holes in their brains, or might be permanently damaged, because they took a totally different drug. if you take the time and research MDMA, it is has been proven that it can cause very little serotonin depletion, 5%! and even at that, they are able to re-up their levels in as little as a month, depending on how you treat yourself. and please NO ONE post up anymore of that BS where it claims that it can cause a depletion from 50%-85%, that was METH, totally different drug, and yes METH will do that, NOT MDMA.

and these fckers that drop dead after taking ecstasy, 1 or 2 things might've happened. either they took an insane amount of or they took the wrong pill (combo of anything). people need to understand ecstasy HAS BECOME a dirty drug, not that IT IS a dirty drug. when you say ecstasy you better be referring to MDMA, and not MDMA + different drugs or a totally different drug(s) all together.

people just need to find a reliable source and be aware that it is difficult to find pure MDMA (ecstasy). this is the drug that causes one of the greatest highs in the world. it is only when people ingest a bad pill that it becomes a bad high. so please don't give us that "it causes depression" or "it ruins people's lives" or any of that because the fact is the people who say that are the people who keep taking bad pills and/or people that like it too damn much. because yes, taking too much of anything is bad thing. and the depression myth is the fact that MDMA has such an incredible high, that when you come off it, real life just doesn't seem the same, when actuality you're fine. that is the so-called "depression".

and as far as the legal issue goes with ecstasy, i highly doubt it will come off schedule 1 for a long time. like someone said in the beginning of this post, the government is scared that they will not be able to regulate us in a manner that they do now. POS gov't.

 

You are right that real extacy is MDMA and not the heroin/cocaine/meth laced pills sold to the majority of the population. But MDMA is still semisynthetic and contains semisynthetic amphetamine. It still produces depression afterwrds. It still causes you to have high blood pressure and increased heart rate which are subsequent of each other and a deadly combination. It can still cause your brain to swell. All that in its pure form.
