something i dislike about smoking too much

    sometimes, i smoke a bit too much in one session. such as last night. and i freaked out because i kinda lost control and thats sumthing i relli dont like. it felt so uncomfortable and weird. Its pretty for me now but at the time it was scary as shit. it has happened to me about 3 or 4 times before and im so pissed off cuz i dun enjoy my high. when i smoke less, im perfect and happy but of course i wana smoke more to get higher haha.

    so my question is, how do i solve this problem? try to ignore my loss of control and just enjoy it? kinda hard for me.

    or explore the loss of control. the next time it happens, try to figure out why. personally, i eat. mellows me right out.

    its hard to feel paranoid, and to tell yourself its ok. I freak out about smoking in the car, in HS i was in a fender bender, (i wasn't driving) and i freaked out! the cops took all our names and shit, and ive panicked about it ever since. i know its silly, but its true. i just avoid the situation.

    cut back i guess, for awhile. take it slow. identify the threshold.

    its not that im paranoid about authority tho cuz i almost always smoke at home and my parents dont mind

    its just that i pay too much attention to my body and freak out a bit

    I've never really understood what people meant when they said they lost control when they were high, so I guess I can't really help you.

    What do you mean by "lose control"? You said you pay too much attention to your body; Do you panic about your heartrate or something? Panic attack?

    And yeah, do like Mother's Love said and eat something. Sugar usually brings my high down, to an extent.

    yeah when i lose control i kinda have a sort of panic attack and think about heartrate n stuff. i know its impossible to overdose/die on marijuana, but then i went on thinking "what if my heart rate is too fast il have a heart attack" or "maybe my hash has been laced which gives me the chance of overdosing" and shit like that. i kinda lose control of reality i mean i forgot that i had a body and i thought breathing was different and crazy ass thoughts which made me freak out lol

    I had a couple situations in my early days of smoking where I just got a little too high and it was hard to enjoy myself with others. I would be like damn I'm really high and don't wanna have to pay attention to this conversation right now, I would much rather take on this high alone. So what I would do is just get up and change my location and go chill by myself for a couple min. My stand by excuse to not look like I was rude would be to take out my cell and be like Oh I have to make a call I'll be right back. Then just go find a quiet spot to hang out for a min and collect yourself. Try taking deep breaths or as others said eat something. I find that just the change of scenery alone can be enough to sometimes take you from a bad high to a good high.

    yeah dude a get that same thing going like checking my hart rate and breathing the best thing to do is go for a walk and then a cold shover works every time

    This happens to me a lot, but usually only when I smoke alone. I think it's because I focus more on the high than anything else when I'm alone, so when something feels weird (which I realize is completely normal) I start to think something might be wrong.

    Fuck "don't smoke too much". Fuck that shit hard. Retarded attitude. With weed, it's go big or go home. If you start freaking out, it says something about you, not the weed. Don't be afraid of your shortcomings. Approach them head on. Invite the loss of control, and swim through it. See what you find. You'll probably discover a whole other side of yourself you've been subconsciously blocking off because it's too anti-establishment.

    I agree with Mr. Writer, the point is to get high, so get really fucking high. If it ever hurts me, or I think somethings wrong, I enjoy it. It's part of what you're doing. Just smoke yourself retarded, smoke till you puke, then wake and bake the next day. I smoke mainly just 3 days a week becuase I'm trying to save money, but I smoke a LOT on those three days, I get FUCKED UP, especially when my tolerance is down. Lose yourself in thought and meditate. Think about what you have learned. Weed can let you forego parts of your body to harness all of your mind if you use it right.

    Yeah I used to get like that. Panicking about it only makes it worse though. I've had panic attacks so bad on weed, years ago, that my heart kept getting faster and faster until, eventually, I actually went into convulsions and had a seizure, which happened probably 10+ times. That wasn't the weed's fault though; it was only because I was focusing on my heartrate so much, which only made it beat faster. I would literally smoke and smoke and smoke and keep smoking until I fell out and started convulsing. I still smoke as much as always, but I've learned not to think about my heartrate when I get stoned out of my mind. You can still smoke all the weed in front of you, so long as you keep your mind straight, as far as the paranoia/panic goes.

    All you gotta do it do something to keep your mind off of it and don't even worry about it. That's the biggest thing, because if you don't focus on it, it won't even matter.

    same thing happens to me when i smoke too much
    especially if i'm around a bunch of people
    i get really paranoid and my heart starts beating real fast and i start freakin out

    to stop it, i usually just quit smoking until i feel better, smoke a cig, relax and just wait.

    I hadnt smoked weed in a while and then i took all these dank pipe and bong hits and it was so different. I would be sitting in a chair and all of a sudden just become startled and horrified for a few seconds. Then it went away and i was having fun again. It was reallt odd though.
