Yeah, I got another cigarette question. Why do they make "soft packs" for cigs? I really don't see the point in them, they should just sell them all in boxes. Is there a difference between the "boxes" and the "soft packs"? Here's the problem I have with soft packs. If you put them in your pocket and sit down you end up mashing all of your cigarettes. If you put them in your purse cigarettes fall out of the gash in the top of the pack and get mashed around with your sunglasses and chapstick. If you're not careful, you will accidentally throw out the pack while there is still one errant cigarette stuck deep inside. Tobacco falls out all over, no matter what. The ONLY good thing about soft-packs is when you throw your "empty" pack away, and then you think, "Oh, I should make ABSOLUTLY sure there isn't a cigarette left in there", and you retrieve it from the garbage and poke around inside the hole with your finger... and LOW AND BEHOLD there is one cigarette clinging to the back corner of the pack. One more cigarette... what a treat! I've heard people say that soft packs are packed better and a little stronger than their hard packs counter-parts, but I want to know for sure.
the cigarettes themselves are the same. soft packs are good if you keep them in a shirt/jacket pocket or on a table or in a car. thats about it. no pants pockets, and i'd imagine a purse would be a bad idea still, i never minded them much, i just had to be careful. i'd generally agree with you though
I don't smoke so I don't know from personal experience, but I have a regular customer that won't buy box because she finds them stronger. Perhaps because they're sealed better maybe?
My sis uses one of those cute metal cig cases,so it doesn't matter to her. or My dad who just keeps packs in his car,or front pocket.
^i had a really nice one for the longest time. i loved that thing. honestly i'd probably have a harder time quitting smoking if i hadn't given it away! (i mean a nice cigarette case, not a car. i do have a car )
'soft packs' are what they made BEFORE the flip top box and other packaging methods became comercially available. i would imagine the only reason they still do, is because, you know, how nostelgic people get about what the're familiar with. =^^= .../\...
well, soft packs are easier to sneak into the house if you're a teen, cus the form to like you're pocket, unlike the box ones
Haha, flannel uncovered it. It's the tobacco industries marketing to underage smokers who want to hide it from their parents.
