Hi, my name's Bash. And that's what I'll be going by for now. It's my friend's nickname, and I don't see him on here anywhere, so I'm going to use it on here. In all actuality, my parents and grandparents have a tendency to Google me, and find vlogs on YouTube where I'm ranting and cursing about things. My parents were decently okay with it, but my grandmother found it proposterous. Of course, she still thinks I'm eight, so whatever. I'll tell you my "internet" name. It'll be in a riddle-esque form, though. This is the name that I usually make my screennames. My first name, or rather, initial, is in this pattern: 6 + 17 = W. So, W - 20. Get it there? Middle name, the one that I go by, is the last name of a somewhat unknown former President of the United States. It is also the name of a mascot for a well-known establishment of which a song was written about by the same people who wrote about "macho, macho men". Just put those two together. Spoken like "q filmore", but spelled "qfilmore". That kind of thing. Anyway, I'm glad to be here. Can't wait to get active. -Bash. :Mr-T: [ps: if you figure out what it is, put dashes or dots or something between the letters.. I really want to be able to browse and post freely, without having to worry about paranoia! kthx!]
I’m stunned, your olds Google you? Your parents/grandparents have no business nosing around your life, you’re 18 for christ’s sake. Don't they realise that it's up to you to disclose what YOU want them to know. I have 4 children 3 girls 1 boy and there's no way I'd go nosing around their private stuff, let alone my grandchildren’s lives. Even when they were younger e.g. say early teens. If we hadn't taught them to look after themselves by then, well it was too late wasn't it? In a perfect world we (our kids and we) should be able to communicate at a level where we're comfortable, anything else is no-one's business. It's so weird, we encourage our children to despise authority, to question it, but when it comes to the one authority that most affects their lives (US,.. their parents) we expect them to ignore that principle and just "do as they're told" because we know better. It's a real double standard, the sort of crap the world elite lay on us constantly. Anything else is hypocrisy!
Hello Bash & Welcome to the forums. why dont you get on with you'r life give it a bash . find a nice girl wow .but thats me just talking. good luck. PEACE.
hey bash, dood...the fact that they google you isn't too absurd, my dad does it just because he's bored...haha. but i can't believe your g-ma got into that. weird. anywhoo..welcome to the forums, i hope you have a wonderful time here. my name's lizzie and i'm here almost everyday so...we'll see each other around eventually. =] *hugs*
That's crazy they search you - my parents say they don't wanna know -anything- about what I do when they're not around XD lol, yours just care about you, I'm sure Welcome fellow noob!
It's not crazy they search you. You're lucky you have people that care about you enough to spend 12 seconds typing your name into a search engine. Especially your grandmother - it probably takes her 17-19 full seconds with/without arthritis... If my grand-parents were still alive, I would fully expect them to look my ass up. Shit. Parents, especially grandparents, should at least try to interfere with your life a little. If they don't, then they are either f'ng lazy, or don't give a shit.
It's not entirely the fact that they check on me on MySpace and Facebook. It's that, no matter what I try to do as me, they find through Google. Which sucks if it's a rant on them. This way, I'm just kind of hiding. I respect their authority and their ability and will to find stuff on me. But I just have to be a cyberninja and dodge the eyes of big brother.
welcome your post really caught my attention...no wonder people "google" you- you're an enigma looking forward to reading more of your charming little riddles
