poison ivy with marijuana?

ok guys, check this out. i am an outside grower...i've just started my first time. i've got the perfect place to grow outside...its next to a creek...and covered in other plants. the only problem is....its covered in other plants, including poison ivy. i sure as hell dont want to grow a plant that will cross with a poison ivy plant, no one wants to have poison ivy in their lungs, thats for sure. i just want to know is it at any way shape or form possible for a poison ivy plant to cross with a marijuana plant. anyone here had an experience with this kind of problem? i need to move my plant from one place to another kind of quick. so the sooner the better.

 

what exactly do you mean by "cross"?? as in to grow around, in between or beneath it? or do you mean as in cross-breading?

either way i would keep the poison ivy well away from your weed. i don't know if the oils containing the active ingredient of poison ivy leaves can be inhaled through smoking, but fuck if it did i cannot imagine the pain and suffering it would cause. just be safe and trim back the ivy away from your plant. can't be that much trouble.

 

yea i mean by cross breeding, but i cant imagine how much suffering one would go through smoking that much. if anything it would cause a panic attack. being high and in unknowing pain is not what i or want anyone else to go though. i suppose i'll have to put on some long pants and some gloves, go pull it right out of the ground and throw it somewhere far away and then move my plant down there. thx dude

no not possable.. But mj grownig in the area of posion ivy isnt a good Idea but isnt a bad idea either. good idea keeps people away from your stash. bad Idea is catching poison ivy.. while I dont get Pi. so people are very sensitive to it.. its possable that oils from ivy my get onto your plants cut back PI and you will not be effected by it..
as fro mj contaminated intentionally by a grower thats bad karma.(though I dont believe in karma) thats just the case. Someone could get seriously ill and have very bad lung irritation from poison ivy smoke..
Cant cross breed with mj no more can fish mate with rabbits..

 

Yeah, they can't cross-breed but it's a good idea to rid the area of PI. Luckily for me I'm immune to PI. Yay for genetics!

 

lol i'm allergic to it every now and then...how weird is that. i think im going to try to clear out a small-ish large-ish circle where i'm going to set my plant. thanks guys you have all been such a huge help!!

 

Pi oils are not always active it depend on the climate. if your area ia humid PI is catchable in the air by some people. thats cause the oils are evaporating into the atmospher close to the plants and transported in water vapors.. amazing shit you can learn about stuff huh?>lol..

lol, i just dont want those oils getting on my bud, would you guys say 15-20 ft. is a good estimate distance from PI to my plants?

 

ive had plants growing 2 feet away but thats just me. its not like its really that possable. but it can tend to vine towards anything around it and one day youll find you mj being choaked by PI. not good... so cut back at least 15-20 if you aint going to be checking on them often.

 

what about poison oak and poison sumac? thats all over the place where i want to move it too.

 

same type of oils but since those are Brush plants and not vines. I dont think they would be a problem and usually the oils are very weak in them and take a huge blow or rub to release them....Im kinda a woodsy fella. so I can tell you most people wouldnt even notice poison oak or sumac, and usually catch it from brakeing it/ slashing and roughly walking into it.. Poison ivy is way more extreem imo?

Don't grow near the poison ivy. The oils from the PI plant can stick to anything, you get that shit on your buds and you'll be in for a world of pain. And yes poison ivy can be inhaled, people have burned piles of it before and gotten bad poison ivy in the lungs and the esophagus from inhaling the smoke.

perfect, ok i moved it down there. turns out the poison ivy is well over 50 ft from the plant. its just AROUND it, so no one will really want to go down there. i just pray that none of it will get on my buds. any particular way you think i can clean the buds of any PI oils that do get on there?

 

Dont do it. You'll regret it.

 

thats why you dont burn feilds of poison ivy or wild parsnip because the oils will be in the smoke and you can inhale the oils and cause serious if not life threatening injury
