i don't understand why the gov. made cannabis illegal. their so stupid! all it did was give violent gangs the oppertunity to make money off of it, thus cuasing violence. if you could get it at a local gas station then there'd be a lot less people in jail, and people killed. besides there'd be a lot of happy people. making a law like no smoking it and driving i wouldn't mind too much, besides you can get spaced out and cause an accident. but making it illegal was stupid on their part man. -nick
Nah - It has everything to do with political firestorming rather than so called "health effects". The government doesn't like the people using it rather that the drug itself - they didn't like mexican brothers a while ago, and they didn't like hippies (afraid to have themselves mocked for their wrongdoings). It should be legal man... Nothing wrong with it more than cigs or beer.
Pharmaceutical companies don't want you growing your own medicine. And the textile industry doesn't want the competition from hemp.
This is why I'm a Greenie (Australian Political Party) because if they gain power, they want to legalize marijuana. Honestly, I don't give two craps about the environment, I just want legal bud lol At least in Adelaide, marijuana is still in its legal gray area.
