Not that I believe everything I read, and you shouldn't either. Just ask yourself. Is it worth it?

 

I am by no means a doctor, but it still sounds like it is safe if you are in a monogamous relationship, and you know your partner is free of any STDs, use a condom if you feel better that way, I don't think it said anything about the act of anal sex causing cancer, and by all means do not or stop smoking, I would never push anyone to have anal sex if they were against it, but if you are safe it seems you will be alright.
