I've heard similar stories of people failing and still getting the job. makes me wonder why they bother wasting the money sometimes.
I think it has something to do with them wanting to know if you're doing harder drugs. If I had tested positive for cocaine or meth, it probably would've been a different outcome.
I'm actually looking forward to smoking MORE now that I'm graduating. But that's because I've been so stressed out these last 7 years, I deserve a fucking break. I have no intentions of throwing my life away and being one of those obnoxious stoners. If I feel it starts hampering my outlook on life (ie, I get too apathetic) then I'd cut down. I really only smoke now on school breaks, since it tends to make me rather unproductive when it comes to school work. What bothers me more is alcohol...binge drinking, to be more specific. Pot just makes you silly, but alcohol makes most people either loud, slutty, or violent. Either way, it's annoying. And it's much more accepted in our culture, which makes no sense to me, given the health risks.
Why do you even need the stuff? I quit a few years ago and haven't smoked since. Once you distance yourself from it for a while, you tend to not even think about it. I personally don't care for the stuff because it's ridiculously expensive and it does more to rob you of your motivation than anything else. Nothing wrong with doing it from time to time, but to smoke it all the time is a waste.
It's just fun. And ironically, I've never paid for it (I prefer to mooch ) Except once, but then it was only $2.50 for a brownie, and that was awesome because I'm a total lightweight so I only need to eat a little bit and I'm set. I've used the same brownie several times and i still have more to celebrate after finals It's not necessary to me at all. It's just something fun to do every once in a while. If all the pot in the world disappeared overnight, I wouldn't bat an eyelash.
Yeah it makes no sense for alcohol to be legal when weed is illegal. It's a million times worse than weed could ever be, in every way. The same can be said of cigarettes.
i still smoke almost as much as i used to, but then again my job is slightly less than professional... they don't drug test, most of my employees smoke, and besides, i still have nothing better to do in my free time...
I do not feel like I need the stuff, but I sure do like the stuff. It's really not expensive once you know the right people. It can also be used as a motivation booster.
the only thing the robs your of motivation is yourself. tired of people using marijuana as a scapegoat for that. fucking lazy ass people
Really though. The times when I feel most like getting out and doing something is when I'm stoned. I actually WANT to go out and take care of my responsibilities when I've been smoking a bit. I don't mind going out and taking care of business when I'm sober either, but I rarely WANT to do anything, unless I'm stoned.
I stopped because it became pointless. If I'm ever an anorexic with sleeping disorders, I'll smoke again.
i had to stop smoking to find jobs and deal with random drug tests in the real world. i miss it ever day but then again i consider it to be the sacrament and greatest thing on this earth. If your going to be a teacher you got nothin to worry about they only drug test you once, all the teachers i know are potheads.
