Do you have a job? (for teens)

dbuba, i dont think u can legally be hired, you have to be 16, at least in NY state u do! so if u DO get a job at 15 u REALLY get to slap "the man" in the face cause u get a salary tax free!

 

I got a job in NY state at age 15 and I was indeed off the books. You actually have to be 14 though to legally work here but most people don't hire until you're 16.

Like I said before, when "the man" leaves the place we just smoke weed and eat all we want. I love my job.

 

you can be hired but you can only work a certain amount of time i believe

 

i make hemp jewelry with my own clay beads. it is the best job in the world, if you can even call it a job. i dont work for anyone, no taxes, my OWN hours. and plus so far i have made around 1500 bucks. oh yea and i get to go to as many festivals as possible and sell sell sell. the selling is actually my favorite part. i just get to talk to lots of people, i also usually end up bartering hemp for some mushrooms or something. im starting to sell tie dye/batik tapestries as well.

 

I work at a golf course. That way I'm one with nature.
Such a lazy job though, unless it's a tournament and I'm running around like a chicken with it's head cut off

 

yeah i work for my pops, 14 an hour under the table so i dont pay taxes to the man. well my dad is the man but not "The Man" so i work for the man. haha. but yeah its cool. good money (well ive never heard of bad money but...) i get to pick my hours. Its hard work though, hes a general contractor (for those of you who dont know what that is, its construction, and home improvement. lately its been alot of cellulose insulation hes trying to push the conservation of energy and its a recycled material so its pretty cool

im 18 so technically still a teenager. i have a job only cos i need the money and where i am, living off welfare is the hardest thing in the world. sadly where i work i have to get dressed up like a business person. its so uncomfortable.
