Do you take people seriously online?

oh yea absolutely ive met many who were just sooooooooooooo fucked up stupid or just polain rediculouse that you think they just gotta be fake cause nobody could be that fucked up and make it in the real world..

then ya come across the ones that are just so psychotic and creepy you hope theyre fakes but ya fear theyre real..














question for everyone who assumes most ppl are fake..
how real are you? do you assume everyones fake because you tend to be fake? ive noticed in this thread several posts like "i amn real with people so i assume most are real with me" do you assume most are fake because you are fake?
just wondering...not callin any1 fake

 

it's not only online; i just don't trust anyone until they give me a reason to...

plus it's a nicer surprise to find out someone is real than to find out someone you thought was real actually wasn't

I don't assume they're fake, I just think most people are different on the internet than off. I just don't take things as personal or as literal most of the time.

 

I usually don't take people seriously online. Nor offline.
I am just about fun. Although some things I do take seriously.

 

I take everything said and done both on and offline seriously. The world is a serious place, full of serious people, doing serious things. Its stupid to sit and play foolish games when there are important matters to be discussed and debated.

Most of the time yes, unless they're acting like idiots. Its not worth worrying over whether some random person on the internet is lying or telling the truth unless money is involved or you care enough to meet the person in real life.

Everything a person says on the internet is a truth!
Even if they are telling you a lie or using a flake persona, that will tell you something true about that person!

 

I don't trust anyone.

 

Except the occasional ax murderer.

Unless someone says something really outrageous, they don't bother me. Most of the people I know well online, I have been talking to for years. They would have to be pretty bored to keep up a charade for THAT long...

But if someone has 2 posts and are in here telling wild tales of woe, I tend to not believe them. They are trying way too hard, ya know?

me too. usually it's when they say something i disagree with to the core of my being. if it's something like that, i'm physically incapable of not reacting.

 

I don't really see what someone would have in lying to me online. I'm not going to have cybersex. I'm a tease. I trust most of the people on here are pretty much who they say they are.

Different qualities come out with chatting with someone online then if you met them at work a bit. But I don't really think a persons really the first impression you get from chatting to them at work. People are complex and it takes a while to get to know someone.

As for me, it's probably pretty obvious in what ways I'm different online and real life. I'm the same person. I'm much more pensive then I seem online.
