Tipping, as an entity, pisses me right off.
I don't see why there's a place for it anywhere, including casinos

In a restaurant, for instance.
Why should I feel obliged to add 10% on to my total bill? The price is there, on the menu. That's what I intend to pay. If you want your waiters to earn more money, add more money onto the bill and pay a higher hourly rate.

And why is it related to the value of the food? Surely there's no difference to the waiter if they're bringing me a £6 burger or a £30 lobster, so why should the money they get be 5 times higher?

The whole idea makes no sense. Do supermarket staff get tips? Bus drivers? Builders? I've never heard of it. So why should waiters? And why should somebody who's rolling a dice?

 

because servers/bartenders/whatever make slave wages for base pay.


I tip the bartender a shit load on my first round or two so he/she recognizes a nigga.
