Do you take people seriously online?

I mean it's a hard thing to do at times. Especially when just about everybody has met atleast one certain online faker, ya know? I still try to give everybody the benefit of the doubt, though it may very well come back to bite me later.

So, do you give 'em the benefit of the doubt and assume most are genuine, or do you discredit each and every person til you've seen enough to feel comfortable to make the call that they're "real" as far as who they say they are?

Or do you even care? I'm sure some will play along with whatever just for fun, no?

well in that case, I think you are probably getting closer to who someone really is over the internet.

In real life, people can be guarded and not very open. On here though it isn't very difficult to show your true colors.

 

sometimes i think everyone i talk to on the internet are just characters created by computers to interact with me, so no.

I've often wondered if large numbers of people I met in chat rooms etc weren't just all the same person, though I know it's not true. Still can't help but wonder who is fucking with me and who is the person they say.
