What kind of shrooms in MD.

    What kind of shrooms can you find in maryland? Im in Montgomery county but im close to Howard and PG. I hear you can find them around here but I dont know where to look. Its pretty rainy out right now so I thought id ask.

    I think Gymnophilus spectabilus (sp?) are active on the east coast. I wouldn't personally eat them though.

    ive found Psilocybe semilanceata....(liberty caps) ive found them on horse dung

    Awesome! In MD? There were lots of horses (and cows) where I used to live in Maryland. I remember mushrooms popping up all over the place, but I never thought to research them.

    hey im from maryland, but allegany county..i know people who sell them up here, but i never tried them and dont know what "specie" or whatever they are..

    I'm from Montgomery County too, but I buy from DC dealers and usually end up with cubes. :] I don't knoe if that's what you're asking though.
