Hehe, I got told my hair looked like spider legs when started off too, wonder if anyone else has got this... *ponders* They look awesome, nice work!
Nice man. Ya everyone tells me that i looked like I had a spider on my head, or that simpsons guy sideshow bob. now I just look like I have a mop on my head. I wish my hair would have stayed together that well. Im at almost 18 weeks and you cant see the dreads hardly at all anymore, you can only feel them =/. Nice job again man!
i love the peppery color of your hair. I am so excited for greys ( i know im under 25..but it is still something i look forward to in the future)
Thanks all! I'll admit that the only reason you can see mine (instead of hiding behind all the loose hair) is because I cheat a little. I use a teeny crochet hook to pull the stray hairs back into the nearest dreads. This helps keep em seperate! Otherwise Id be rippin the roots apart every morning....ouch (been there, done that, didnt like it. lol) My roots are like velcro lol, and stick together overnight. (((Oh... btw I NEVER use wax.))) I don't do the crocheting unless I have hairs that have nowhere to go, I try and keep any maintenance down to a minimum as I don't want to end up with that perfect, manufactured look that seems to be the fashion now. Dont get me wrong; uniform, neat dreads are beautiful too, just not for me. I look forward to the future, when dreads are not so trendy. I'll be a dreadie with the rest of you, while those who did it for fashion have long since undone theirs.
i'm totaly with ya there like my mom found her 1st grey hair at 16 that was also the last time shes ever had her natural color since shes dyed it ever since me when i got my 1st grey (mostly in mky beard) i was proud of it sure when i was 30 some pplk thought i was 45, but that didntr mater.. i thoiught of every grey hair as just a visual reminder of every life experience so even tho your young i cant wait to see ya turnin grey either
i started going grey when i was 14! i inherited my mum's silver streak! people still think i'm only about 25 though.... bless them
