    Holy Crap Batman! :leaving:

    Yeah that's royally fucked up.

This is insane, and not to mention there are " crimes " in the U.S. that aren't really crimes you can get a year in prison for.

Yeah I don't agree with this at all, this HAS to change.

Do I want to pay more taxes for more police with infrared cameras, dogggy sniff roadblocks and herbicide in a paint ball gun helicopter patrols? Police cars tricked up like a NASA spacecraft? Websurfing, phone tapping, boom-microphoned, schoolyard patroling, MySpace lurking, mouth-swabbing, ash tray sniffing douhnut eating police?

    I think not.

the only problem with all this is, i bet everyone on here will call for a cop if they get ripped off or assaulted or whatever. everybody wants cops, courts and jails when they're the one wronged. i don't think it's cops that are the problem, it's the governments and politicians giving them their marching orders that's the problem.

so if you had a home invasion of wackos with guns, you and your wife were raped and injured so badly you both spent months in the hospital, your home was torched and burned to the ground...you wouldn't want the police to investigate? bring the culprits to justice? you wouldn't want them tried in court? imprisoned? come on. [IMG]

i understand where ya'll are comin from, but i think your focus would be better applied to the bosses of the cops than the cops themselves. there are plenty of police organizations against the same things we are: violations of civil liberties, the drug war, etc.

    example:

once in my entire life i signed a police report once and only once.. it was indeed a similar situation as to the scenario you described..
i did not call the law, i did not wish to deal with the law, i tried not to cooperate with the law.. unfortunately in a situation as you described the law finds you and the law takes it upon themselves to involve themselves..

if you dont cooperate you become there prey.

you simply have no choice in such a situation.

if i would have had my way,, yes i would have handled it myself just as i have done every other time in my adult life..

see what you dont understand about me is i have spent my entire life surrounded by folks with a unwritten code, we handle things ourselves under the radar.

i dont trust law enforcement, i dont believe they have my best interest in mind no matter what the situation, therefore i dont deal with them...

so to answer your question, in that scenario it wouldnt matter what i wanted the law would do what they wanted..

in any other situation,, no i wouldnt involve law enforcement..

I have prepared myself for this situation.

I have 4 guns, in different places in my apartment.

Now I only have one dog but when I get married I would get a house, buy a few more guns, have them all around the house and have 3 dogs, all dobermen.

And if I was away and found my wife had been raped and murdered.

I have friends in the justice system, I'm certain I could eventually find out who was responsible ( probably gang related ) and then I'd carry out my own justice.

Hell if everything I loved in my life was taken away from me, I wouldn't care at all, let the bloodbath begin, I'm already a suicidal bastard, all I'd need is another nudge.

The justice system will give a rapist a light sentence and a murderer will probably get out in about 15 years.

harassment based on profiling may be fun for you but it aint for me..

no thanks dude, yall judge people on there looks an the looks of there vehicles and harass accordingly..
i dont consider it "fun" to sit on the side of the road for 45 minutes with 2 of you rummaging through my vehicle while my groceries get warm , all because,, well lets see that time i got 3 different reasons for being pulled over by 3 different officers there..never even got a warning or anything, just harassed as usual.

that wasnt the first time and im sure it wont be the last.bottom line yall just profile folks an look for a easy score an then honest hard workin folks who did nothing wrong like me have to deal with your asses simply because of the way we look.

beyond that you are paid to enforce a wealth of unjust laws and you do that selectively whether by choice or just following orders. you abuse your authority far to often and unfortunately very little of it ever makes the news.

the less of folks like yall on the streets the better IMO.

I do not know, because I have never done that.

Sort of like you're judging me on my profession, and making untrue statements based on your prejudice?

Don't look at me; I didn't do it.

Actually, the next time WILL be the first.

Certainly. Why, just last night I abused my authority, by stopping some drunken miner from beating his wife into a coma, and then I arrested him because he had earlier put his cigar out on his 6 year old son's neck (the event that triggered the domestic disturbance call).

What a shitneck I am. I should have just left and let the man run his family as he saw fit, right?

If we disappeared tomorrow, you'd be the first one crying for our return.

you dont know me very well.. much like you,, some would say i have no buisness in these forums because of my beliefs, ideals and the way i choose to live..

when the SHTF youll be the last mutherfucker i wanna see..

so sure i make a generalization about you folks,, you just did the same to me..
you think all the masses are sheeple unable to exist without the structure of mainstream society to give them security.. well many may.. but me an mine aint one of them..

we are quite prepared to sustain and protect ourselves indefinitely should the need arise.

we can take care of our own,, till the likes of you decide you gotta take our guns cause your the only ones to be trusted with them in a crisis.. i know you will be"just following orders" as you throw the united states constitution out the window because someone yelled crisis. thats disgraceful and no one that goes against it has any business enforcing ANY LAW!!

(you wont find mine when that time comes)

you dont know who or what i am,, dont lump me into the sheeple and i will attempt to take your word that you are one of the 30% of decent law enforcement officers... prove me right by turning in your badge when that time comes...

america is now a fully fledged theocracy

after iraq the american government will launch an attack on its citizens as never before in its history.

    why?

because iraq did not go their way the only people to punish are the people who should have brought the government victory.

i'd say "the handmaidens tale" is probably a closer version of America Version 1.2 waiting in the wings.

america has unfortunately always been full of religious fanatics, first they killed the indians then they turned on the mexicans and turned on themselves in the civil war. what makes america infinitely more dangerous as a rogue state is its large arsenal of nuclear weapons and its attacks on foreign states and human rights abuse of its citizens.

Well now, we don't hear from the iconclasts much now that its The Reverend Jerimiah Wright's turn under the magnifing glass.

Seems that Pat Robertson, Jimmy Swagggert and Ralph Reed are all fair game. Why the kids glove approach to this wacko.

Back on topic. any Federal Spending bill to pay for more police would wind up so earmarked and burdened by subsidies as to be beyond consideration due to its cost.

If municipalaties desire more blue, please hire them and tax your voters. We don't need it federalized thank you.
