When toking on a pipe pull it through and pull the cherried ash through the whole pipe and into your mouth???

Holy fuck, my stupid ass has done this twice to my knowledge!

Once... but it wasn't much. I felt something much hotter then smoke in my mouth and I had the automatic reflex to just spit it out.. and then I saw the ashes in my spit. Gross shit.

 

many years ago, thats why I stoped using pipes and only use a bongs,
blown glass pipes have big opening and without a screen your gona get a ash if you burn it that far down, if you cant find screens go to hardware store and get a faucet aerator, they usually have about 3 screens in them and they are only a couple of dollars.

Yeah that is the downside to glass. But it just means you have to find one with a deeper trap. With a nice deep trap you don't need a screen. On the other hand water hammers and sidecars are my fave.

Worst is having a seed pop and of course the hot lil mofo drops right between the legs.

 

if you could take a snapshot of someone´s face right as they´re sucking in the ash/cherry, it would probably be the ugliest moment of their life.

it´s not like regular metal screens, but it does help to block the hole in the bottom of the bowl so shit is less likely to fall through. i´ve maybe only used one once, but i really dont see the point. since i usually smoke with pieces i´m familiar with (my pipes, my friends´ pipes) i know how to smoke them so stuff doesnt shoot through.

if you´ve got a lot of loose shake or something, just throw in a little solid chunk of bud first, then the rest wont fall through. hit it softer as you get towards the end and you should be fine.

 

^^ pretty much agree with ya there. them glass screens ya gotta be careful with though. cash the bowl out not paying attention could lose the clear screen. but there only a few cents i think?

Haha yea everything I smoke out of now, if I can use a screen, I do, really good for the bongs, then your bowls wont get so dirty and clogged so fast.

 

I did that when I first started smoking, you shouldn't suck that hard lol.

and his piece was like duel chambered (didnt hit any diffrent just had two bowls it was cool) but the bowl was huge and i sucked a whole cherried nug threw

 

Ya i've done that a couple of time. Once I almost chocked on the cherry because it caught be off-guard. It really sucks, the your mouth taste like an ashtray.

 

Arrrrg, this always happens to me with pipes... Now I usually use a bong or a pipe screen when I smoke.

 

I hate pipe screens. It defeats the purpose of smoking out a class pipe. I find that as your pipe gets resined up, the weed tends to stay in the bowl and won't go through the hole as easily.

Lol, why yes I have. Now I use a screen, which I definitely think is a huge improvement. Now I can rip on that shit as hard as I want without having to worry about inhaling any ashes. The screen gets clogged up though, and you have to clean it in order to keep getting full hits. Otherwise it blocks off the smoke.

 

out of the friends i smoke with, it's usually me that gets the fuckin ash in my mouth if that does happen.
sometimes it burns and i have to hurry and spit it out.. or it just tastes nasty in my mouth and i have to pick it out.

 

I had, up untill a couple days ago, 2 bowls and a bubbler and well obviously the bubbler doesnt pull anything into your mouth. But my one big bowl had an issue where I dumbly used a pair of scissors to try and remove some resin from the bottom of the bowl and I broke the bottom of it making the hole to wide. Now every time I use it it pulls through like crazy and you get a mouthful of nasty.

Then I had a small bowl that was my travel piece and the other day I knocked it off the counter and it smashed onto the floor into tons of pieces. But then I took a small piece of squarely broken glass from the small bowl and placed it in the bottom of the big bowl covering up a good chunk of the too large hole. Now it works just like the day I got it!

 

damn skier dude that sucks about breaking the hole and making it too wide. I always worry about that when i am clearing resin with a knife or something sharp.
Anyway im suprised so many of u have had it that much. I had it like once or two in my life around when i first started smoking.

Nowadays i usually only use glass pieces with no screen and have not sucked it through in sooo long. Just use a leaf off the bud as a screen. I definitely dont think it should be attributed to a downside of glass pipes, it barely ever happens.

 

three time in my entire smoking carrier, though now i like using my bubbler piece called uniballer cause its just that fucking smooth.
