    I still have a copy of that book. I think it was and still is one of the best books to read to children. Some adults need to read it too.

    I think it's a terrible book to read to kids. It's all about extreme co-dependancy. I do love other books by the same author. The Missing Piece Mets the Big O for instance.

    Shel Silverstein is his name. He is one of my all time favorite authors, but I definitely prefer his poems. They are funny and thoughtful.

    I hate this book. have hated it since the first time i read it. How can the boy be so selfish...poor tree. ugh
