Hiya I'm looking for the meaning/significance of the number 9 and what it's got in connection with the lunar year particularly. Any other thoughts on 9 (and 19) are welcome too. Thanks!
Numerology? ...Sure, but that not what i was looking for. I have a clue that the no 9 is connected in some way with the lunar year and i want to know what it is.
I was asking if you were meaning numerology. But I didn't know that you didn't even know what you are looking for.
LOL! ... I'm familiar with what numerology is and numerology does indeed have a connection with the no. 9 (obviously). But my question is: What does the no. 9 have to do with the lunar year? Thanks anyway!
Not that I can think of. The lunar month is about 28 days, and each phase about a week. There is some variance though. 9 doesn't seem to figure at all.
Well there are nine planets in the solar system, so the moon is the odd man out there. If you count the sun there are 10 planets used most commonly in astrology. The sun and the moon are called,"The lights". I see no connection between the moon and the number nine. The moon is of prime importance in Jyotish astrology. I think you might try finding an East Indian astrologer.
Well although no connection to the lunar year ...Trekker, you said something important nonetheless ..."Nine planets in the solar system" and "The lights". The reason i'm asking all of this is because once in a dream i was shown an 'Angel card' (little divinatory card pack) except in the dream they were called 'Brother and sister cards' ...and on the card was written the name 'Brighid' (Irish/British celtic triple goddess) along with the numbers 9 and 19. So my enquiries have turned up that the number 19 is sacred to the goddess Brighid (the 19 years of the celtic 'great year'). But what of the number 9? I was recently googling about Brighid for any titbits of information and i read something about there being 9 women present when Brighid came into the world. Now, Brighid is a goddess of light and in that sense is a fire goddess (healing, smithcraft, midwifery and inspiration) and my reading of last night said that she was originally a sun goddess. So now the nine planets make perfect sense ... nine attentants of the sun. So this is all very interesting for me but the question still remains ...WHY? Thanks Trekker for that!
Damn thats so obvious! LOL How did i miss that ... it's almost embarrassing I guess i assumed the two numbers had separate meanings ... which they seem to do, but yes ....together they make 28. Thanks to you also Enlil6!
