Im using the fert that comes with the aerogarden(i got 1yrs worth on last order)and like i have said before,This is the RONCO of grow systems"set it and forget it" I add one fert tab once a week and it does its thing...Im off to work now but I will setup the journal later tonite .Thanks for all you do .......................dawg P.S. A little light starts flashing once a week to remind you to add fert
Ok guys and gals i have my grow journal up and running http://www.mjguide.com/modules.php?name=Journal&file=grows&disp=info&uname=roadawg ill keepup on it..............Dawg
I have jus purchased the aerogrow waitn for it 2 come in and i got some master kush seeds hopin to see wha that would come out to be when i grow with aerogarden.
Hey my man! Be sure to check out the grow logs area of the MJGuide. In fact just check out the MJGuide! http://www.mjguide.com/modules.php?name=Journal
I see u have 3 plants under 1 aerogrow. Is that the most you can have. R u controlling their height? Good journal
Ok for my first grow i did 2plants and one got bigger than the other and stunted it............my yeald was 1 and 1/4oz dry bud,2nd grow was one plant and the harvest should be greater,3rd grow is 3 plants(the thing is i grew 3 seads to bud already and all were female)all look female to me but we will see and are on there 3rd day of 12 and 12........and yes this grow i will tie down to see if i can controle there size ........................Dawg P.S. this was harvested on sun 4/13.....will smoke some on 4/20:drool: ..........the rest will be cured P.S.S.you can have 7plants in the aerogarden at one time but i would think they would get rootbound real quick
Yes it seems the big limitation besides the height of the lamp is the volume of the reservoir where the roots grow. A bigger reservoir and a taller lamp would make a huge difference in the number and size of plants that could be grown. Overall they seem to have mastered the concept of the automated self-contained indoor grow. I love how it self monitors water and nutrient levels. It's nearly fool-proof and perfect for the novice grower who only needs to grow their own medicine. It almost seems like the company is reluctant to take the next step (a much bigger unit) for fear it will become too popular with marijuana growers and spoil the Aerogarden reputation (whatever that might be at this point...) BTW, I believe the aerogarden people are closely monitoring web content that references their product, so they are very aware of journals like this. I bet they're trying hard to decide whether to jump into this market or avoid it! So let's give them good feedback so they can improve the design. I'll tell them this: If they can come up with a unit that can grow six decent sized plants to maturity, yielding at least 8 oz of dry bud each grow, they will have a HUGE hit on their hands! Esp. if they can come in with a price below $500. Can anyone here calculate the needed lamp height and reservoir capacity needed for that kind of yield? I bet they're handicapped by not being able to do their own test grows, so whatever info we can come up with, they will probably take note of and apply in developing such a product.
^ they also market the product as a counter top kitchen based product which is intended to sit on a counter top, so the footprint has to be small. the herbs designed to grow in it also dont need nearly as much room as a marijuana plant so i believe the size is pretty well calculated for their needs. even though we would all love a bigger one lol what would you say is the best way to grow in it? on really big plant? 2 to 4 mid size plants? the best ration for the most and quickest amount of bud? if you get say 1 an 1/2 of bud, which is worth roughly about $250, and the unit costs about $200 so you could make back your cost in one grow and even more so.. sounds like a good deal!
Update and new pics in journal...this was harvested on 4/13 ...i smoked a little on 4/20....damm, aerogarden does a good job!
i dont know if this has already been asked but what did you use for seeds? bag seed? or did you order seeds? feminized? the aerogarden seems like a great deal but if your going to spend around $300 on it and grow bag seed it might not be worth it.
all bagseeds from what they called"matanuskin thunderfuck" I did order some beans from amsterdamseeds but that is a bogus vender and never got anything
i see, all the high end stuff we get never has seeds in it so all bagseed is from mids and a little kb. did they take your money? thats why im sceptical about buying seeds, it seems to shady to even attempt.
yeah they took my money($87 for 10outdoor grow mix+10 freebies) and the seeds i used were 7 of 12 found in 1lb...........not quite what i would call mids......but a inda/sative cross...........but we will see.................Dawg
