In the London area over the past two years we have been having free rave parties out in the near countryside away from anyone else such as under railway arches in the Colne Valley near Rickmansworth. We have a great time and no hassle from anyone. The old warehouse parties that used to take place in inner London are now mostly a thing of the past, apart from the odd new years eve party, due police harrassment of such events. Even Ken Livingstone is totally against illegal raves in squatted warehouses and has urged a crackdown on them.
Hey im new to this site but just wanted to butt in on this conversation if u guys dont mind <@ im am definatley going to this bash man, its got everything u need for a classic night 6 big massive halls, 4 sounds systems, and right at the heart of manc land. i reckon this night shud be in honour of the hacienda and pay homage to the time gone by, But we always talk about the old times and how much everyone enjoyed them, i just hope this night brings all my expectations to light. THE UNDERGROUND SCENE IS COMING BACK. (ok im gonna have a bit of a rant and a rave now) Im SICK of stupid dance music and how it just got completley took over by pop group movement, BLAH BLAH GARBAGE in my eyes, OK some of these ppl have really great voices, but wat ever happened to just doing it because u felt it was ur role in life to do so without having lots of useless and quite simply boring things to do inbetween using what gift they have for making lots of money, i mean im not jealous coz i dont really wanna be famous, i'd like to be known on the underground scene but really thats it, but hey u never know oppotunity knocks only once. also im a little worried about whats going on within the music scene in general. I remember not to long ago that big event clubs were shutting down and independant (local) nightclubs were going to BOOM (apparently), and I sat there and Said "Bollocks, that will never happen" but low and behold alot of the great ones shut down, there are still alot of big events about but in manchester, its like rocking horse shite (never heard of), although sankey soaps is quite an impressive club it aint nothin compared to a gutted out warehouse with...............WELL u know what. i just cant wait for this night. i presume that everyone who said they are going signed up for the website at hardcore mission.com i aint taking any chances i gave em my address, phone number, email the lot, i even e-mail the moderator and aske dif im on the mailing list hehehehe. i'll probably see u all there, hehehe u cant miss me i'll stand out a mile. Ive got a big Scar that looks like a Nike tick right in the middle of my forehead if u see a guy that fits this desciption, at that warehouse, probably looking mashed, hehehe Stick Ya thunb up at me, heheheheh go on i dare ya lol
Oh by the way I forgot to mention the free monthly rave parties in London on the Thames Shore called Reclaim The Beach, which are great fun and take place while the tide is out. Here is the link: http://www.swarming.org.uk/recl/recl.htm
If enough people break the law enough, they might change it. Has anyone considered arranging an actual protest against the laws that ban these things? It seems absurd to me that the law would ban something as pure as a party, and waste resources enforcing that law that could be spent better on pretty much anything else.
ah yes... sorry i missed it.. hope you all had a wicked time.. was gonna come.. made it all the way to manchester, unfortunately.. some how a small pixie friend managed to convince me that it would be a good idea to get horendously drunk, smoke lots of weed, then gobble down some mushrooms. now to be fair this was actually quite a good idea.. unfortunately it left me in a state unable to move further than the living room with losing myself in a maze of sureal conciousness. sooo yeah didn't come would have liked to, but blame the pixies. peace and love andy
You probably missed out on one of the bestnights of your life! It was probably the biggest inddor free party ever outside london, no bad attitudes, no police, fantastic atmosphere... loads of reviews and photos at www.hardcoremission.co.uk .
