I am looking to hear people's experiences with Tramadol for withdrawal from other opiates. I have used it before for pain before I had any tolerance to opiates/opioids. Also once when I was going through withdrawal from Oxycodone I had taken 150mgs of Tramadol and I did feel somewhat better than when I did not take anything at all. I did not feel a buzz or anything but I did not feel as sick as before. I would like to hear other peoples experiences in regards to taking Tramadol while withdrawing from their opiate/opiod of choice. From what I have read a maximum daily dose is 400mgs. I am interested in hearing how many mgs was taken, what you opiate of choice is and how much better did you feel, if you felt anything at all.

Have you considered methadone or suboxone? Or maybe a medical detox where they use benzos and an anti-naseau medication (like phenerghan) to take the edge off?
To answer your question, yes Tramadol will somewhat alieviate your withdrawal symptoms...but will also lower your seizure threshold during withdrawals.
