you should check out the cancers he's had. humans are biologic omnivores ( survival mechanism for drought and crop failure times), and can thrive as herbivores. Owsley is a chemist and electronics whiz. His biology leaves MUCH to be desired.
I'm vegetarian, but almost vegan - only I find it hard to stop having cheese, but that is the only thing I do eat still.
Casein, an ingredient in cheese, is rumored to be addictive...that's why it's so hard to quit. It was easy for me because I found out I was lactose intolerant....the hard way.
Vegetarian for around 2 years now. Though I do eat fish and seafood on occasion. I've got no plans to be vegan or anything...
Someone who eats everything - both meat and vegetables. A carnivore is someone who eats only meat, no vegetables ever (like Owsley Stanley)
I'm an omnivore, but I don't eat meat every day, mostly around 5 times a week and generally small portions. I think its natural for humans and I feel good this way. An ex boyfriend I had is vegetarian and often I spent weeks there so I didn't eat meat for that time.. and I guess for me it just doesn't really work; I just feel better eating a tiny bit of it on a regulair basis.
I am all for animal rights- i would rally against animal cruelty in a heartbeat, and i refuse to wear fur. but i love me some cheeseburgers. i just can't NOT eat meat.
