    chyess! fer sher it is
in fact wax will only make it harder to get dreads. they will encourage mold, and they wont allow your hair to knot up. all wax really does is make your dreads look manicures while they are still being developed, which isn't what dreads are all about.
wax will make them look like candles, too :]
all dreads need are patience. you can use different methods like backcombing, twist & rip, whatever. but in the end, whatever you do, dreads need time to come naturally.
it's what dreads are all about, its a jouney.

The hair has to be able to slip around and make it's own knots. If there's wax on them that is like pressing a pause button on the dreading process.

wax is the enemy of dreads and dread wax sellers should be sued for selling that crap
dreads must be clean and free of residue

what is wax but residue you just cant get rid of

ofcourse residue that acts like glue can glue hair into dreadlike clumps but they willalways ust e candles

wax can work to take care of lose hairs and make your dreads look neater.

i recommend not using wax as the feeling of having wax free dreads is sooo much better then when using wax, but if you do use small amounts, and get all the wax out before aplying more. but honestly i dont have enogh expirience to say if wax works or not, and to be honest alot of people who warns against wax are people who used too much. like me.
