someone mentinoed the others as a scary film... i totally didnt find it scary. more like, slightly obnoxious for the one woman being so unbalanced (nicole kidman, forget the name of the character she played though). but yknow, some folk are allowed to like it i guess

i wanna see the ruins. its got a semi-decent rating on imdb (well, good for a horror flick), looks like it might actually not completely suck

the ring, was kinda decent but really they didnt explan wtf was wrong with the chick, even in the ring2 i dont think they did. i hate when theres no reason behidn the person (when its a person instead of like, demonic entity) being so f'ed up. i wanna know why! grr

They need to find new ways of surprising the audience, in the sense of scaring them. Building suspense and tension is an art not every movie director possesses.

 

i agree, horror movies these days are all too much gore and no substance, for more psychological stuff i tend to look to japanese movies.

especially "teeth" thats gonna screw up so many people!
