I wash my hair with Dr. Bronners peppermint bar soap, they where out of the liquid at the time. Bronners leaves my hair REALLY soft and silky, to a point where it cant hold a knot to save my life.

Any thing I can do to help the dreads knot up?
    Im all natural now.

And will headbanging (often) hurt the dreads from forming? =O

    Thanks

Actually, headbanging kinda helped to form dreads for me :D. I went to a KoRn concert and a day after, my roots were tighter than ever :D.

Every other day, if I dont, my hair looks like i took a swim in oil =O.

I do not have a wool hat, tho i have been thinkin of gettin one. My hair is 11 inches at shortest and 12 inches at longest, wool hat will help still?

I actually had exactly the same experience! I suspect it might have something to do with Munky's Guitar playing though :p

Nah, go crazy, anything to make your hair go wild and tangle up!

In one word, wait! Salt spray and wool hat is good but I think no matter what you do in a few months they'll come along fine! Maybe wanting to get them is enough, I have no idea...

well if you are all natural, and your hair is not dreading, then you are not made to have dreads, correct?
I would not worry about it. dr. bronners has some awesome, all natural stuff, and if your hair is super silky when it is washed with natural things...then it is supposed to be silky.
don't fret. if the dreads are supposed to come, then they will come.

    very wise words :)

i always wonder about oily hair and diet

perhaps some1 might know this but would an i tal diet result in less oily hair and easier dreading?

thats how it was for me, my hair was very oily at first cause before i decided to stop combing my hair i used to wash me hair sometimes twice a day. So the first week was HORRIBLE for me, my hair felt so oily and dirty, but just get through it, go for 3 or 4 days without washing, keep doing that and after about 2 weeks it wont seem so bad, now i can go over a week without feeling the need to wash. People say use wool but i think any hat or beanie in general will work. I use a beanie ive been wearing for 3 years that i got for a dollar at the dollar tree....
