So I've been trying to guess who'd be McCains running mate, and I think I've picked my horse. I think he'll pick Jeb Bush. The conservatives don't like McCain so much, so he'll try to pick an archconservative. Anyone want to place bets?

Huckabee was my first instinct. But I think the Bush on the ticket can get them a lot of the parties old money, and drum up all the paleocons.

McCain would be 76 at the end of his first term and 80 for the second. Assuming he would be a one-termer by choice, his VP could get an early chance at running for the presidency about four years from now. .

Jesus is too liberal. Helps the poor and all. What a "wimpy left-winger." They'd also Swift-Boat him for pitying hookers. What about Condoleeza? Or Joe Lieberman? Seems every time you see McCain, Lieberman is right behind him sniffing his butt.
