I just wanted to ask if any of you full-time smokers like me have developed musculoskeletal problems (joint pain, arthritic symptoms, tendency to orthopedically injure easily or not heal well, etc.). or if anybody knows if there is some link or studies have been done, I ask because i seem to know quite a few people who have been smoking for years and have injuries and stuff, including myself. Then again most of the people i know smoke alot so its probably not a good random sample of the population.

I dunno...im 16, I smoke a lot and a few weeks ago I was smoking with friends. I had a hit from a bong but then i got really light headed, blacked out and started convulsing. Iv already been to see the doctor about it and the most likely reason is low blood pressure. It was just after a pretty hectic weekend and i hadnt had much to eat in the last few days and i hadnt had much sleep either, iv been to the doctor again but everything seems fine now, if anyone else has had this then let me know

Musculoskeletal malfunction is one of the most common conditions that cause people to use medical marijuana... you can partially reverse the conditions by taking supplements that contain glucosamine, MSM, chondroitin, calcium, coral calcium vitamin D, and other substances that nourish and repair... maybe its ur diet?

Mary is a muscle relaxant that allows muscles to release tension without the person experiencing overall loss of muscular strength, function, and coordination.

@jim, ur not the only one who passes out due to low blood pressure, theres alot of cases like this, so dont worry. cannabis is known to increase heart rate and lower blood pressure when in session.

Jim if it makes you feel any better I was at a ski mountain last weekend burning with a couple friends. My one buddy was just sittin there and goes does anybody else hear that ringing? Before we could answer his eyes went back and he was out like a light for about 25 seconds. Allthough he did take a pretty strong prescription pain killer that morning because he has a bad sciatica in his back.

yeah, im not really worried about it now...it hasnt happened again and i doubt it will. I think i just have to be more careful about my blood pressure before smoking, i dont have any health problems (diabetes, epilepsy etc...) so i think that it was just a once off because of not eating or sleeping. Thanks for all the help and advice

    weed doesn't cause musculoskeletal problems.

but a lifetime of poor lifestyle choices and dietary habits does.

how many stories have we heard of ppl taking massive bong rips and passing out?
bongs feel smoother to your lungs buyt do far more dammage
it becomes an ego thing too kids (mostly only kids enjoy bongs untill theyre lungs are too screwed to clear a bong hit) kids tend to get that ego thing ya know can smoke x much outta a 10 foot bong always wanting a bigger bong then the next guy to prove how big a stoner hey are
th oversized hits cause extra dammage and lack of oxygen caues the passouts
few years ogf bong use and your lungs are too shot to clkear even a small bong chamber

i dont see smoking wih a bong as an "ego thing" or anything like that, i dont smoke tobacco in any way...not in joints or anything so i just use a pipe or bong but i know the risks of taking huge hits so i limit it to around the same amount as id put in a pipe. At the party where the seizures occured it was the same thing. There wasnt much in the bong and i took a normal sized hit, as far as I know it was purely because of low blood pressure at the time but i know what your saying soaringeagle, iv almost stopped using my bong now, i just use a pipe now.
