ok i already posted this as a reply in a different thread but i need advice asap, i overdosed on dxm robitussin cough gels today, i took 17 and it caused my hand to swell and itch and get really hot but it went away and now i feel pretty alright, but basically can i go to sleep? i've been told it slows your heart rate and i could die in my sleep. haha sooo i kinda dont want to so i'd like to hear some opinions
DXM is actually more likely to increase your heartrate, sometimes well oer 100bpm, which is a medical occurance called tachycardia. I ate 40 of the robitussin cough gels two nights ago and went to sleep about 4 hours later. You'll be fine, either way. People do it all the time.
i drank a 4oz bottle last night then slept 8 hours after it had worn off. you'll be fine and I don't think u overdosed, it gives some people a rash. my friend used to have to rub cream all over himself every time he dexed.
