Sorry, I never understood posts like this one. It's individual.
If I give you what I like doesn't mean you'll like it.
I like psytrance while on acid. Try listening Lyserg Lesson 1 when you are peaking or Kindzadza, Cosmo,...etc. But I can't limit myself just on psytrance and say that's the only great music. I still remember I grew up with old rock!
Have you ever been in complete silence while tripping? Music is everywhere.

Det Som Engang Var is a great song, put me in a trance the first time I heard it.. I was just saying that the ambient material would be really neat to listen to when tripping, its trippy enough as it is.

if your into electronic you should really check out bassnectar, new deal, sts9, MSTRKRFT, chem brothers. Trip hop is also a good route to take, such as theivery corporation. I saw bluegrass once when i was spun and that was sick, you wouldn't think it but Sam Bush was incredible. The one song for me though which perfectly encapsulates a trip is Radiohead-National Anthem. les claypool, tool, tribe called quest, ghostland observatory....woooow i could really go on forever.
    happy listening!

Honestly, it doesn't matter what anyone has to say about what they listen to. No one is going to fully agree with every artist that is listed, it's totally based on the person. I've listened to Britney Spears while tripping and loved it (Oops I did it again :) )
I say take some suggestions from this and existing posts. Make a playlist or something, drop, and let the music roll. If something comes on that you don't like change the song and don't listen to it again. Remember what artists/songs you did like and continue with your own research from there :)

Great idea.. I hope this has enlightened everyone.
Although I have to agree with what someone suggested before, which is that sometimes its better to have no music going at all.
