Has anybody else utilized their consciousness in the form of art while on LSD? (making music etc.) Or just add any input on what you think LSD does for creativity, if anything? :rolleyes5
When I tried playing guitar it was too hard because the strings felt huge and of a different tension to usual, it felt sort of like it was organic and i could only really touch it that way, not like a tool. but im sure in another trip it may go fine
you must suck at guitar. I know when I am on any sort of hallucinogen my music skills go through the roof. My artistic skills do change in terms of symetrey and intensity. If you heard the song Monolith by Mudvayne you'd know what I mean.
since i have taken lsd and other psychedelics my creativity has had a great increase. especially after my last trip. actually during my last trip was when my creativity has been at its highest, music was so easy to make, it just flowed naturally, i could just start making a beat on something, and it would just flow out of me, like ive always known how to do it. also my visuals were extremely artistic, i thought like an artist and saw like an artist. now when i draw my art is much more real, and vibrant. i figure with the use of lsd and much practice people can really bring out their creative side.
I find that my creativity actually suffers while I'm trippin. There's just too much input to focus my energy on any one thing. It's like if 10 people were to try to walk through the same door at the same time. They all get stuck. It's only after my trip that I notice any positive changes.
I really like this input, and I agree 100%. It does seem easier, almost as if the music is flowing from the soul instead of the brain. I wonder if the legalization of LSD and a lot of the amazing music released in the 60's wasn't a coincidence...? :saucer:
I would say that it is extremely beneficial for creativity. I found this out last night on a dance with Lucy. I decided to play guitar and man was it fun. I felt like I couldn't miss a note, everything was flowing greatly. I was playing with much more enthusiasm than just hours before when I played. I also noticed I was so much more free in my style and didn't feel bound down by recurring patterns, but the best part was that I didn't stop for what must have been hours.
OK, so for the first time today I had a trip that allowed me to express my feelings in the form of words so it's clear that I misjudged the creative potential of LSD trips. Any way, this is the product of my creative energies immediately following my peak while I was still trippin pretty hard... Life IS how you remember it. The sum total of your experience IS infinity as far as your concerned. My world is MY world and yours is YOURS. People cannot experience the absence of their world and so they can never die. You can only be a witness to death, never a victim of it. Each sphere of experience is as close to infinity as we can ever know as long as we remain within our sphere of experience Anyone who has ever died can tell you what it is like to be dying, but not one can tell you what it is to die. For this reason, people don't actually fear death, they fear dying. We actually do control everything in our universe. We just don't know what we want or in which way we would like to go. Everything your physical body ever done has been a precise and conscious decision to slightly alter your present experience (your moment). Since we never directly experience anything other than the present, it is everything as far as we are concerned. If everything you do (the infinity of your action) makes your universe better then you are in your ideal universe. To accept this is to find nirvana. By acting we are aligning the universe, bringing it into perfect harmony. If every fiber of your being is committed to an idea then whether you realize it or not your actions will make the necessary adjustments to make that idea a reality and a property of your universe. That which is out of your control is a constant. If it is a constant then it is only relevant in context. If you can live in the moment then there is no context and the things that are out of your control are irrelevant.
I drop acid and set the controls on my keyboard that has turned into the controls for a futuristic space and time transending ship. The only way to control this amazing vessle is with music, and boy does it flow. I soar faster than the speed of light maneuvering perfectly. My ability to make music on acid EXPLODES just like all my other senses.
These symptoms suggested that our evolution, i suppose, from the animal kingdom Into the human kingdom itself was catalyzed, or triggered by our encounter with These hallucenogenics, and Yes, we are an ape with a symbiotic relationship to a mushroom, and that has Given us self reflection, language, religion and all the spectrum of effects That flow from these things. And one can only wonder how these hallucinogens might effect our future Evolution as well... They have brought us to this point, and as we make our relationship to them Concious, we may be able to take control of our furute evolutionary path.
LSD enhances my musical creativity as well. Seriously. I've written some deep, futuristic tones on the keyboard with others that were unexplainable while tripping with some crazy lyrics to go along with it. Honestly though, I though acid does free your mind and allow you to try other things, I think that since your senses are enhanced, all music sounds good on acid. I remember listening to a song and hating it, tripped on LSD and heard it and suddenly "got it" and was like holy crap, this song is genius, it's like the music is speaking to me. Acid gives you this comprehension of things that your ego prevents you from getting while straight.
