A friend of mine was interested in psilocybe, but I suspect she's schizotypal. For instance, she says she has a sense of presence of her fylgja, as well as a ghost following her, which she says she can sometimes smell.

Are there any species of psilocybe which do not cause any visuals at all? If so, can these be safely used in this case? One can't have flashbacks from a species that doesn't even cause visuals, but I suppose there'd always be a danger, as magic shrooms stimulate exactly those receptors (5HT-2C, for one) involved in schizophrenia - and I guess it's not impossible that she's prodromal.

Should it appear later in life that she's just suffering from schizotypal personality disorder (which isn't psychotic), and not prodromal schizophrenia (which usually is), would it be safe then? I guess this is somewhere on the borderline between spirituality and psychosis. I've had some schizotypal symptoms too (random internal voices, apophenia, brief olfactory hallucinations, sense of presence), but I don't worry about them because I've never seen them as anything but symptoms.

I'd really want her to see this, but maybe now she's already so open to the spiritual world it would be too overwhelming to her, and I wouldn't want to be responsible for this by inciting her interest in psilocybe.

I've read one article which said that psilocybe can only induce psychosis when there is already a psychotic inclination present - what if she has psychotic inclinations?

No my friend, there isnt. You can get high without visuals if you eat a light amount, but there is never a guarantee and the light high you would experience is not even worth it, as its mostly a state of confusion without much, if any, euphoria. Im not going to go into any issues on mental conditions, that's not my interest nor my expertise. We're all nuts if you ask me, if you decide to take the trip you naturally will experience mental/physical/spiritual anguish sooner or later. Such is life.
    Take care -
