Howdy shroom folks, I have the opportunity in a little while, I am thinking in the fall after other shits cleared up I have space available to set up a clean lab, in a location very fit for it, very chill spot. Basicaly a small room with a small window, big walk in closet size room, almost tiny office room, in an old ass house, basicaly thinking a positive pressure clean air room, desguise the air intake with a gutted air conditioner on the window, basicaly need a big ass hepa and blower, dunno if my 1 by 2 is enough, can get bigger one. plastic sheet airlock at the door i figure would be good, have built many grow rooms but never a clean lab, got the idea down on how it can be feasably done and personaly think it will be a snap.

I am wanting for another fatty grow but dont want to bind up the kitchen again for I am a foody and a moonshiner and the mushys just twacks it all the fuck out.

    any thoughts or suggestions.

It sounds like overkill. I'd just make sure that the room is really clean and make a still-air box if you plan on using agar or doing grain-to-grain transfers or something else that is more contamination-prone.

You should seal off the window and seal around the inside of the bedroom door. If there's already a window ac there..you have to seal it off. That thing is no good for your air. Also seal off any vents from central ac / heating. 2-4 small hepa filters will do the trick. You don't need any crazy ass air intake system. You just need to keep the air as clean as possible. Bringing in an outside (of the room) air source doesn't help you. Make sure to have lids on your bins. The trays inside the bins...yada yada

*if the floor has carpet, cover and seal it with clear plastic tarps. Wipe dowm all the walls and ceiling...

A clean lab is not overkill!

A clean lab isn't overkill, but I think what you're trying to do with the air intake is. Don't get me wrong: it sounds like fun to make and could possibly be beneficial, but I wouldn't invest the time in it myself because the results I've always had in a still air environment have been more than sufficient. Either way, good luck.

What I am describing is a blower hooked to a hepa that positive pressures a small room its really simple, i mention an ac box, for the window the room is near where people walk so if you have a hollow metal box covering the intake you can explain away noise, this should be a cake walk.

A still air lab works but the lack of air movement is pretty bad when you're hosing every surface with some sort of cleaning solution, also ya get hot any sweaty, positive pressure is cool and refreshing.

to each his own, each cultivator has their ways.

What you're talking about definitely has its merits. I'd just be careful because if you do it wrong it can contribute to dispersing mold spores throughout the room. That would be the main thing deterring me from ever doing it at least, but I'm sure that it's possible.

It's more likely to be clean without the air intake. IMO, of course.
