They have done A lOT of collabs with other artists... I love the White Albums and Black one... their split with Boris is great as well.

Also, technically they are a Black Metal Drone band. Most drone bands aren't as dark as they are nore do they collab with as many black metal artists.

Yup, Burzums ambient tracks are indeed beautiful.

Kinda going off topic now, but I really am getting into Sunn 0)))
and Boris, and have been interested in Drone for a while now.
Do you know of Keiji Haino, hes done stuff with Boris and influenced Sunn O
He might be someone you might want to check out If you want to delve into the avant garde, weird, almost spiritualy insane stuff- Guitar wizard, master of the Noise genre.

Going back to black metal, This band is truley unique. Soft atmospheric black metal, lots of acoustic passages, which I find to be slightly psychedelic.
You can download some of their songs. http://www.altoriuseseliai.projektas.lt/

Yeah. I prefer Daudi Baldrs and Hlidskjalf to any of his other albums. I'm actually listening to "Einfuhlungsvermogen/The Power Of Empathy" off Hlidskjalf right now.

    Hvis lyset tar oss

has got to be one of the greatest BM albums of all time.

My favorite Burzum record with Det Som Engang Var a close second.

Don't download music, support artists and their music and purchase is from either a liscensed retailer or preferably a specialized music stor who could use the money or the artist themselves.

You wouldn't like it, and they don't.

Sorry but I really have a hard time with that shit, its really hurt artists, even in the metal scene like Mercyful fate.

None of the music stores here in my city have any Burzum CDs

I have actually tried to get some

I do buy music if it's available, but unless its a special import we only get major releases here.

And I would buy it online, but neither me nor my parents have a credit card

I tried to like black metal but I could never get into it no matter how many times I gave it a listen. I'm more of a thrash/death metal guy.

Black metal was also still pretty new in the early nineties. While the genre 'developed' Cradle of filth became more melodious/theatrical in their music. First three albums fit in the atmospheric black metal genre, in my opinion.
