I've read a lot about how when you get dry bud you can do various things to moisten it up. Well i just picked up some bud and its dank but its fully dried. So I'm taking 7 grams of it and see what happens so I have a few questions:

    1) What's the best overall way to make the bud better and more moist?
    2) How much weight will 7 grams weigh after moistened and how long will it hold that weight?
    3) I'm experimenting by taping 5 Q-Tips (All 10 tips damp) to the top of a tuperware container and have 7 grams sitting a couple inches below that. a) is this a good method b) How long should I leave it sitting there?

Any input appreciated. I'll find out eventually but I'm just wondering what other people's experiences/opinions are

    EDIT:

    Here's what I'm trying:

Any suggestions on how long to keep it like this?

Put an orange peel in the baggie with your weed, but don't let it touch your stuff, and no longer that over night...

Why would you want it moist in the first place?

I second the orange peel technique. It's a favorite of mine.

Right on, I could see wanting to do that in the situation that your weed is so dry it just pretty much powders upon breaking it up. That really sucks. Fortunately that's only happened to me once.

The orange peel method is what I use and I love it. Dried out crumbly weed needs a little moisture IMO
