    Hi all,

I am considering seperating a few of my dreadlings while they are still young, because I feel I didn't make enough and would prefer a few more. I like fairly thick dreads, that's ok but there just seem to be so few. (I made 41 by the way). The thing is, I sectioned and backcombed my hair in such a way that I am really happy with the way each dread is placed. So if I split a few of them, Im worried its going to look clumsy and strange.

(I know that it is the uniqueness of dreads which makes them so appealing, at least to many. But in essence, I'll have two dreads coming from the same spot... that cant sit right can it?? Does anyone have any experience with this, I'd love to know if it works.

    Thanks heaps... :)
Any suggestions? (beside undoing and starting again). Im not starting over.

once theyre formed splittin aint easy
if theyre just connbected at the roots u can seperate em till theyre too tightly connected to rip apart but if u sectioned too big then your stuck with bug dreads ..but as u keep seperating em..rippin em apart u will get new whisps between that form new baby dreads

Hmm you'd have to comb 'm out, cutting is no option. You can also just wait till you have enough loose hair and make some new dreads out of it. I did that too and now I have thick thin and short and long mixed dreadies ;)

Hey, thanks -good idea. I can manage enough loose hairs to do that... might have to work a few more loose, but that's ok!
I'll give that a go tomorrow after I wash.
    :D
