I would most definitely play psychedelic rock. I play guitar, and I've played in bands before, but none of them liked psychedelic music like i do. I would also play straight up classic rock like I did in my old band, The Nicks. And yeah, now I'm just writing shit on my own, mainly peaceful, soft songs.

Me and my sis are going to find a few other girls and start a band someday. Heavy metal/rock/with some experimental trippy stuff.
My band would be predominantly driven by acoustic guitar and Piano. I would play guitar and my future girlfriend on piano with us both taking turns to sing. A drummer is nice too, but not essential. The music would be lo-fi, sweet melodic country in the style of Townes Van Zdant with occasional allusions to 80s alternative (Smiths, housemartins etc.) as well as some 60s influences, mostly the Kinks. We would both sing in Australian accents and not fake american or english accents like sell out bands do. All lyrics will be fiercely emotionally honest, straightforward and often political. My ultimate aim would be for the music to reflect the nature of my land and its people (including its rightful owners), to enlighten as well as to uplift and never to try to hard to make it anything other than what it is. One can only dream. After heading to Scotland and befriending an amazing nova-scotian guitarist, I am starting to draw influences from folk bands of the British Isles like Planxty, Battlefield band, Kate Rusby etc. I think celtic influences would go down well in any modern alt. band wanting to do something different. I like how vampire weekend are basing themselves on modern african pop.
I've been in several bands from cover to metal to straight rock. Now i'm in to more things like the Mars Volta very experimental very free form. Thro in some blues and jazz undertones and just go.
