Anyone still listen to Donovan?

he's awsome, but i don't really know anyone else that listens to him besides my uncle!

 

I most definitely do! I love the man AND his music. I even have a Donovan tattoo on my arm.

 

I was just listening to the Hurdy Gurdy Man album the other day. I can't say that I've checked out his entire collection, but everything I've heard to date has been very satisfactory. If you like the title track from the Hurdy Gurdy Man album, you should check out the Butthole Surfer's cover version.. very strange and trippy indeed.

 

I don't listen a lot to him anymore but he's alright!

 

I remember picking up a copy of Open Road on LP at a flea market a few years back and falling in love with it.

 

I have the Sunshine Superman album, as well as most of the singles he's put out. I love him! I love how he's both incredibly trippy and incredibly mellow and folky at the same time.

i absolutely love donovan! i was just listening to a mixed cd i made of him on the way home to night....the story of atlantis.

he is such a great talent...and i dig his spirituality too

yeah...i love when the allman brothers do the "mountain jam" even they are donovan fans...you can hear the melody ..."first there is a mountain..."

Has anyone heard the song "Billion Dollar Babies" by Alice Cooper? Donovan does backing vocals on it....he sounds good, but he is the most unlikely person to be backing Alice Cooper on a hard rock song....lol

I LOVE Donovan. 11 years ago he played live here, in Barcelona, in a small club. I was sitting at the 3rd or 4th row. When he started singing "Universal Soldier", he looked at me, and when he saw I was singing the lyrics, he said to me "Yes!".

 

I've only really listened to a few of his songs. I can never seem to download that many..

 

He's one of my favorites! I own his entire discography....great man.

 

I do, I love him...especially his album ˝A Gift From a Flower to a Garden˝...it's so full of positive messages . His music just makes me feel good all over

 

That's such a beautiful album. I've been putting that on for my daughter of 4 and half years. She likes that Happy I 'yam song.

 

i love donovan, i love his folk stuff and his later psychadelic stuff, i even have to bongs named after two songs, Mellow Yellow, and Hurdy Gurdy Man. hurdy gurdy is a bubbler though

 

i fuckin love donovan. ive been hooked since i first hurdy gurdy man in zodiac (very good movie btw)
